We demonstrate the prognostic value of (111)In-pentetreotide scintigraphy in well-differentiated malignant endocrine tumors. In these tumors, sst2 somatostatin receptor expression correlates with both tracer uptake and a better prognosis.
Although the routine surveillance systems had limitations, several sources provided useful information for public health decisions and were found to be concordant with ad hoc epidemiological studies. Defining a victim was central to the choice of a programme design based on an approach either to victims of the disaster or to the entire population in the surrounding region. Anticipation and preparation for such disasters are thus required.
These results show that only a few risk factors were associated with IMT in this population of healthy peri- and postmenopausal women. These results might be related to the fact that this study was conducted in an area of France well known for having the lowest rates of CHD in women, which is further supported by the thinner IMT found in this population as compared with a higher-risk population. Therefore, these results might not be relevant for CHD in older or high-risk women.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
