The aims of the research are to increase creative thinking skills and creative action through the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with green chemistry insight. The research design of mixed method experimental models embedded with a pretest-posttest control group was applied to measure the effectiveness of the application of the of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with green chemistry insight at the end of the learning activities to increase creative thinking skills and creative action of students in solving various environmental problems. The results showed that creative thinking before and after implementation of the experimental class is 82.42 and N-Gain 0.73 (high category), while that in the control class is 69.85 and N-Gain 0.32 (medium category). The assessment of the creative action begins from investigating groups of problem-solving ideas written on the outcome of the discussion groups. The consultation with the lecturer is carried out for the implementation of tasks, exhibit, communication (presentation), and rewriting in the form of reports in more detail results/ products of the creative activity that has been done and also the sustainability of the action. The application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with green chemistry insight is able to increase creative thinking skills and creative action of the students.
Abstract The PEP Unnes community service program in the form of technical guidance and assistance in the preparation of diagnostic assessment instruments for elementary school teachers in the Banyubiru sub-district, Semarang Regency, is a concrete effort to help improve the quality of education to provide an understanding of diagnostic assessments, especially to activity participants, namely teachers in the Banyubiru sub-district, Semarang district. The implementation of this service uses a method with the theory of the Seven-Stage Model of Program Planning and Development developed by Welsh. This analysis uses qualitative descriptive. This article aims to analyze the implementation of community service program activity. The participants of the Bimtek came from elementary school teachers in the Education Sector Korwilcam, Banyubiru sub-district totaling 30 people. The supporting instruments for this service are pretest sheets, program evaluation questionnaires and test instruments created by teachers who follow the technical guidance. The material for technical guidance consists of 4 points, namely the implementation of an independent curriculum, introduction to diagnostic assessments, preparation of diagnostic assessment instruments and finally item analysis. The results of the service showed that among the 4 technical guidance materials presented, the participants most mastered the implementation of the independent curriculum, as many as 74%, who really mastered the diagnostic assessment as many as 70% of the participants. As for the preparation and analysis of items, only 36% of participants actually mastered it and there was 1 participant who stated that they had not mastered (all the material) in detail. The benefits that participants get after participating in this technical guidance are that they can increase their knowledge of diagnostic assessments carried out in classroom learning; Accept technically about the Diagnostic assessment so that it can be applied in daily learning, at least the reference is clear enough; can understand the current curriculum changes, and get teaching tricks according to the applicable curriculum.
This study aims to analyze the profile of students' misconceptions on stoichiometric material and to find out the findings obtained from the misconception analysis. This research method is a mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. Quantitative data collection methods using test and questionnaire methods. Qualitative data method with interview method. The total misconception profile on stoichiometric material was 44.6%. The profile of misconceptions based on the achievement of the highest concept understanding indicator was 65%. The concepts that cause chemical misconceptions of stoichiometric competence in students include the basic laws of chemistry, molar mass, molar volume, number of particles, limiting reagents and empirical formulas. Factors that can cause misconceptions in students found by researchers are situations that are less conducive, lack of student interest in learning chemistry, learning methods that are not correct, lack of courage to ask questions, low student motivation.
This research aims to arrange learning materials that include definitive , macroscopic, microscopic, and valid symbolic to know the student response through multi-representation materials. This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Karangtengah, with subjects are XI IPA 3 students. This research is applied in alkali acid materials. The data that is obtained in this research are expert validation result and students response in material multi representation media : definitive, macroscopic, microscopic , symbolic. The data interpretation was conducted with expert judgment to know materials validation, and questionnaireto know students response through multi representation materials : definitive, macroscopic, microscopic , symbolic are validated by three validator. The research outcome shows that multi representation material media : definitive, macroscopic, microscopic , symbolic valid with average score from total score 75. The students response through multi representation materials shows the possitive response through the materials.
