Introdução: a DRGE é uma condição de sintomas incômodos e complicações que resultam do refluxo do conteúdo do estômago para o esôfago. Estudos sugerem que ocorre em cerca de 50% dos lactentes abaixo de 2 meses de idade, 60 a 70% dos lactentes de 3 a 4 meses e 5% dos lactentes aos 12 meses de idade. O objetivo é reunir evidências para constatar a segurança do tratamento medicamentoso para DRGE em crianças. Materiais e métodos: A pesquisa foi realizada através dos seguintes descritores: “gastroesophageal reflux diseases”, “children” e “drug treatment” combinados entre si por operadores booleanos. Ao aplicar todos os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, obteve-se uma amostra de 5 artigos. Resultados e discussão: O tratamento medicamentoso de DRGE consiste basicamente em drogas inibidoras de bomba de prótons (IBPs), que bloqueiam a etapa final da liberação do ácido gástrico devido à inibição da enzima H+/K+-ATPase. Em relação à associação de métodos não medicamentosos à terapia de supressão ácida, foi realizado um ensaio clínico randomizado que se propôs a esclarecer a superioridade do tratamento combinado. Conclusão: Conclui-se que o tratamento com IBPs e até mesmo o uso off-label de metoclopramida podem ser benéficos como terapia antirrefluxo na população pediátrica.
Introdução: A COVID-19 é responsável por provocar uma resposta inflamatória profunda, que tem como consequência diversos mecanismos pró-coagulantes. O objetivo do presente trabalho é expor as relações existentes entre os marcadores de coagulopatia na COVID-19 - D-Dímero, PT, PTTa e fibrinogênio - com as taxas de mortalidade e com o prognóstico em pacientes acometidos pela doença. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura sobre marcadores de coagulação na COVID-19 em relação ao prognóstico e mortalidade. A pergunta que norteou a pesquisa foi “Qual a relação entre os marcadores de coagulação (D-Dímero, PT, PTTa e Fibrinogênio) e o prognóstico e mortalidade na COVID-19?”. Após aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, foram encontrados 43 artigos, dos quais 5 foram selecionados para compor o presente trabalho. Resultados e discussão: o quadro pró-coagulatório na COVID-19 aparece com mais evidência conforme a doença se agrava nos pacientes, possivelmente devido à “tempestade de citocinas” durante o estágio inicial da infecção. Os marcadores de coagulação são importantes na predição de prognóstico e classificação de risco dos pacientes, visto que podem indicar risco elevado de doenças por distúrbios hemostáticos. Tendo a mortalidade em questão, não foram encontrados estudos que relacionam marcadores de coagulabilidade e mortalidade. Dessa forma, não é possível estabelecer conexão direta entre esses dois fatores. Considerações finais: Portanto, conclui-se que os marcadores de coagulopatia na COVID-19 podem ajudar a definir o prognóstico do paciente. Entretanto, não se pode relacionar diretamente à mortalidade devido à multifatorialidade da clínica envolvida na doença.
Introdução: A doença renal crônica (DRC) é caracterizada pela diminuição da função renal com duração de três meses, ou mais. Mudanças psicossociais e biológicas relacionadas ao tratamento dialítico aumentam o risco de desenvolver depressão em pacientes com DRC, além de perda de qualidade de vida. Esse estudo tem como objetivo organizar as principais informações acerca da qualidade de vida e sintomas depressivos em pacientes com DRC em hemodiálise. Metodologia: Refere-se a uma revisão integrativa da literatura sobre qualidade de vida e depressão em pacientes renais crônicos submetidos à hemodiálise. A busca ocorreu em bases de dados confiáveis (PubMed, Scielo e Google Scholar), através das palavras-chave “hemodiálise”, “doença renal crônica”, “depressão” e “saúde mental”, combinadas entre si pelos operadores booleanos AND e OR. Resultados e discussão: Pacientes dialíticos tendem a ter pior qualidade de vida e maior prevalência de depressão e ansiedade. A abordagem a esses indivíduos deve ser multidisciplinar, tanto para a promoção de saúde física quanto mental, por terapia e exercícios físicos intradialíticos, realizados no próprio ambiente hospitalar. Considerações finais: Portanto, conclui-se que a hemodiálise afeta fisicamente e psicologicamente os pacientes, principalmente a longo prazo. Medidas de promoção de saúde devem ser implementadas com o intuito de promover qualidade de vida a esses indivíduos
INTRODUÇÃO: A hidrocefalia de pressão normal idiopática (HPNI) é uma doença neurológica caracterizada por deficiência cognitiva, incontinência urinária e distúrbios de marcha. Com os avanços relacionados aos sistemas de imagem, a captura da função do sistema glinfático tornou-se crucial para a investigação da HPNI. Este estudo tem como objetivo relatar os principais avanços no estudo do sistema glinfático e sua função na fisiopatologia da HPNI. METODOLOGIA: O presente estudo é uma revisão integrativa da literatura, onde foi realizada uma ampla pesquisa nas principais bases de dados (Medline, Scielo, Web of Science, SCOPUS) usando os termos "sistema glinfático", "hidrocefalia de pressão normal idiopática", "neurocirurgia", combinados por operadores booleanos. RESULTADOS E DISCUSSÃO: Os resultados apresentados neste estudo mostraram-se promissores para a investigação não-invasiva de doenças neurológicas que podem ser baseadas em disfunções hidrodinâmicas cerebrais. Entretanto, outros fatores devem ser explorados. Por exemplo, a disfunção venosa cerebral profunda em pacientes com HPNI leva a uma diferença na capacidade de drenagem entre o sistema venoso superficial e profundo, o que resulta em pressão transmembrana no parênquima cerebral, acelerando o processo da doença. CONSIDERAÇÕES FINAIS: Portanto, este estudo conclui que uma investigação aprofundada das ligações entre o sistema glinfático e a fisiopatologia da HPNI pode otimizar as abordagens diagnósticas atuais e evitar o agravamento precoce da doença, com base em novas classificações, levando em conta testes de imagem e biomarcadores do líquido cefalorraquidiano.
Introdução: A doença cardiovascular continua sendo a principal causa de morbidade e mortalidade no mundo, apesar dos recentes avanços em cardiologia e cirurgia cardíaca. Avanços recentes permitiram que tecnologias de impressão tridimensional (3D) fossem aplicadas, criando um campo de bioimpressão. O objetivo deste estudo é investigar a eficácia, segurança e aplicações de tecidos cardiovasculares bioimpressos em 3D em pacientes com doenças cardíacas. Metodologia: A questão norteadora definida foi: “O uso de tecidos cardiovasculares bioimpressos em 3D é eficaz e seguro em pacientes com doenças cardíacas?”. A busca de artigos ocorreu nas principais bases de dados. A pesquisa foi realizada através dos seguintes descritores: “bioprinting”, “cardiovascular” combinados entre si por operadores booleanos. Após a avaliação crítica, obteve-se uma amostra final de 4 estudos. Resultados e discussão: É possível observar que existem diversos tipos de tecidos que podem ser bioimpressos, cada um em sua particularidade e vantagem específica. Considerações finais: Portanto, conclui-se que o uso de tecidos cardíacos bioimpressos em 3D é promissor e pode mudar a perspectiva e o prognóstico atual em pacientes com doenças congênitas e lesões cardíacas agudas. Entretanto, a eficácia e segurança precisam ser testadas em modelos reais, sendo necessários mais estudos na área.
