Objetivo: Quantificar a titulação de β-hidroxibutirato (BHB) no sangue de vacas leiteiras nas duas primeiras semanas de lactação. Métodos: Os dados foram coletados em três unidades de produção distintas, sendo uma em sistema confinado (Compost Barn) e as outras duas à pasto. Na propriedade em sistema confinado foram avaliados quatro animais. Nas propriedades com sistema de produção à pasto foram avaliados nove animais. Os dados foram coletados, entre setembro e novembro de 2022, contendo as seguintes informações: identificação individual dos animais; ordem de parto; produção leiteira média nas duas primeiras semanas de lactação; avaliação do escore de condição corporal (ECC) na primeira e segunda semana pós-parto e; titulação de BHB na primeira e segunda semana pós-parto. Para a titulação do BHB (mmol/L) sanguíneo foi utilizado o método de diagnóstico eletrônico rápido a campo através do aparelho portátil FreeStyle Optium Neo®, no qual era adicionada uma gota de sangue em uma tira reagente para BHB que, posteriormente, era inserida no equipamento portátil, realizando-se a leitura em aproximadamente 10 segundos. Para ser considerado com cetose subclínica a concentração de BHB deveria estar > 1,2 mmol/L a < 3 mmol/L. Os dados foram submetidos a Análise de Variância (ANOVA), e Correlação de Pearson, com nível de significância de 10%. Resultados: Os resultados indicaram diferença significativa para a relação entre o sistema de produção e a concentração de BHB na primeira e na segunda semana pós-parto (P <0,1), bem como para a produção de leite (P <0,05). Também houve correlação positiva entre a concentração de BHB na primeira semana pós-parto com a ordem de parto das vacas (P <0,1) e entre o Escore de Condição Corporal (ECC) na primeira e na segunda semana pós-parto (P <0,05). Conclusão: Vacas em sistema confinado estão, fisiologicamente, mais propensas ao desenvolvimento da cetose subclínica do que vacas em sistema à pasto. Independente do sistema de produção, vacas com maior número de lactações apresentam maior incidência de cetose subclínica.
A biosseguridade é um assunto em constante debate, quando relacionado a avicultura e suinocultura, mas pouco exigida na bovinocultura de leite. A implementação de regras de biosseguridade na cadeia leiteira beneficia produtores e empresas, repassando ao consumidor uma visão de maior confiabilidade. A metodologia utilizada foi a revisão sistemática, abrangendo publicações entre o período de 2002 a 2022, disponíveis nos bancos de dados: Google Acadêmico, Scielo e Periódicos Capes, utilizando a estratégia de busca “biosseguridade AND bovinocultura AND leite” e “sanidade AND biosseguridade AND bovinocultura AND leite”, totalizando inicialmente 143 publicações e após critérios de seleção restaram 30 publicações que construíram o presente trabalho. A biosseguridade faz parte de uma ação coletiva, visando assegurar a sanidade do rebanho, qualidade dos produtos, assim como a saúde dos trabalhadores e consumidores. Dessa maneira, conclui- se que a implementação de programas de biosseguridade dentro das propriedades é essencial para a qualidade do leite e sanidade dos rebanhos, contribuindo de maneira essencial para a segurança dos produtos e crescimento do setor leiteiro.
