OBJETIVO: Investigar as características sociodemográficas e obstétricas maternas de nascidos vivos no estado do Acre no período de 2015 e 2019. METODOLOGIA: Estudo descritivo, ecológico de série temporal, com abordagem quantitativa, realizado a partir de dados do Sistema de Informações sobre Nascidos Vivos (SINASC) disponíveis no site do Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Saúde. Os dados foram analisados por meio do programa Microsoft® Office Excel 2016, sendo calculadas as frequências absolutas e relativas quanto às variáveis sociodemográficas e obstétricas. RESULTADOS: Observou-se que foram registrados 81934 nascidos vivos, sendo a maior frequência de nascimentos no ano de 2015 (20,75%) e no município de Rio Branco (40,10%). Predominaram mães que apresentavam entre 20 a 39 anos (47,23%), cor parda (80,34%), 8 a 11 anos de estudo (45,7%) e possuíam companheiro (76,92%). As gestações eram únicas (98,06%), com até seis consultas do pré-natal (48,90%), evolução a termo (81,37%), parto vaginal (58,02%) e realizados em unidades de saúde (95,62%). CONCLUSÕES: As características das mães dos nascidos vivos representam o perfil epidemiológico da região e podem ser utilizadas para o estabelecimento de medidas e estratégias de atenção à saúde materno-infantil no estado.
RESUMOA toxoplasmose é uma doença infecciosa causada por um protozoário chamado Toxoplasma gondii. Quando a infecção é contraída durante o período gestacional pode ser transmitida ao feto causando graves consequências. Esse trabalho teve como objetivo identificar o conhecimento sobre toxoplasmose entre gestantes atendidas em uma unidade básica de saúde do município de Rio Branco, Acre. Tratou-se de um estudo transversal realizado através da aplicação de um questionário sobre as características sociodemográficas e conhecimentos sobre a toxoplasmose de 70 gestantes nos meses de julho e agosto de 2018. Observou-se que a maioria das grávidas se encontrava na faixa etária de 18 a 24 anos (48,6%), se declarava de cor parda e tinha o ensino médio (60,0%), com companheiro (71,4%), não exercia atividade remunerada (68,6%) e tinha renda familiar maior que um salário mínimo (42,9%). Com relação aos conhecimentos sobre a toxoplasmose, a maior parte desconhecia às formas de transmissão (51,4%), complicações (72,9%), meios de diagnóstico (57,1%), profilaxia e tratamento (74,3%), medidas preventivas (52,9%) e não receberam orientações sobre a doença durante a assistência pré-natal (61,4%). Desse modo, os resultados apontam que existe entre as gestantes falta de informação em relação à toxoplasmose, sendo fundamental que os profissionais e os serviços de saúde estabeleçam medidas de orientação sobre os meios de transmissão e controle da doença.
RESUMOA tuberculose é uma doença infectocontagiosa causada pelo Mycobacterium tuberculosis, na qual o tratamento utilizado na atenção básica é o tratamento diretamente observado. O objetivo geral deste estudo foi identificar as principais dificuldades enfrentadas no tratamento diretamente observado da tuberculose em pacientes atendidos em uma unidade de saúde do Acre. Tratou-se de um estudo descritivo realizado com 30 pacientes, nos meses de janeiro a março de 2019, que receberam tratamento para tuberculose em unidade de saúde de referência do município de Rio Branco-Acre. Observou-se que a maioria dos indivíduos diagnosticados se encontravam na faixa etária de 18 a 35 anos (46,7%), eram do sexo masculino (63,3%), com nível superior completo (40,0%), tinham renda de 1 a 3 salários mínimos (46,7%), a forma mais prevalente foi a tuberculose pulmonar (80,0%), sem diabetes (83,4%), não eram tabagistas (70,0%), nem etilistas (76,7%), não usavam drogas ilícitas (93,3%) e não tinham histórico de privação de liberdade (90,0%). A maior dificuldade encontrada durante a realização do tratamento foi à reação adversa aos medicamentos (66,7%), porém sem dificuldade de acesso ao serviço de saúde (90,0%), e possuiam conhecimento sobre as consequências do abandono ao tratamento (83,3%). Desse modo, é fundamental que os profissionais e os serviços de saúde conheçam as adversidades enfrentadas pelos pacientes durante o tratamento, pois assim é possível desenvolver ações e estratégias focadas em superar as dificuldades e reduzir a taxa de abandono do tratamento. Resumo: O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a prevalência de anemia atribuível à malária na população urbana residente no Município de Mâncio Lima, Acre, Brasil. Trata-se de um estudo de coorte não concorrente com 1.167 pessoas acompanhadas por três meses anteriores à data da entrevista mediante dados do SIVEP-Malária. Foram calculadas as medidas de frequência e a prevalência de anemia em pacientes com e sem histórico de malária recente, conforme as variáveis de interesse. Os resultados mostraram que 50,2% dos indivíduos eram do sexo masculino e 67,96% encontravam-se na faixa etária de 15 anos ou mais. A prevalência geral de anemia foi de 7,1%, sendo maior na faixa etária de 6 meses até 5 anos de idade. Com relação ao histórico de malária recente, verificou-se que 8,3% dos homens que tiveram malária apresentaram anemia. No geral, a prevalência de anemia atribuível à malária foi nulo, exceto para os homens (2,4%) e no bairro Cobal (51,4%). Os resultados demonstram que a prevalência de anemia é baixa e que a contribuição da malária para anemia existe apenas em homens e áreas geográficas específicas.
