Pelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana proses penggunaan media realia dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan naturalis anak di TK Al Hidayah Kabupaten Langkat dan untuk menganalisis bagaimana peningkatan keceerdasan naturalis melalui media realia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan dengan jumlah subjek penelitian seluruh anak di TK Al Hidayah Kabupaten Langkat sebanyak 12 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan yang mengacu pada model Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dari Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang meliputi empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, refleksi. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus, Analisis data menggunakan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Analisis data kuantitatif dengan statistik deskriptif yaitu membandingkan hasil yang diperoleh dari siklus pertama dan siklus kedua. Sedangkan analisis data kualitatif dengan cara menganalisis data dari hasil wawancara selama penelitian dengan langkah-langkah reduksi data, display data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemandirian melalui media realia, dapat dibuktikan rata-rata skor kecerdasan naturalis pra tindakan anak sebesar 32,81%. Kemudian mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I sebesar 37,44% sehingga menjadi 70,25%. Selanjutnya dari siklus I ke siklus II kecerdasan naturalis anak mengalami peningkatan sebesar 17,91% dari 70,25% menjadi 88,16%. Sehingga total peningkatan kecerdasan naturalis anak mulai dari pra tindakan, siklus I sampai siklus II 32,81% yaitu 70,25% menjadi 88,16%.
This study aims to determine how the application of authentic assessment in kindergarten by assessing the adequacy of aspects of assessment and implementation of assessment instruments. Research respondents are kindergarten teachers in North Sumatra Province, totaling 65 people. The data was collected using a questionnaire and document analysis, which consisted of lesson plans, children's work that had been analyzed by the teacher and the assessment instruments that had been used by the teacher. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and qualitative analysis by linking existing data to obtain meaning. The results of the analysis showed that: (1) there were 100% of kindergarten teachers who stated that they had carried out an assessment every time they carried out the teaching process but most had difficulty indicating the assessment instrument used, (2) 97% of kindergarten teachers only used a checklist to collect developmental assessment data and children's learning activities by putting a check mark on one of the scales consisting of "developing very well", "developing as expected", "starting to develop", and "not developing", (3) 98% of kindergarten teachers use the instruments in the book assessment guide issued by the government and have never used an assessment rubric developed by the teacher to determine child development achievements, and (4) 89% of kindergarten teachers do not collect assessment data in the context of competencies being developed, (5) kindergarten teachers have difficulty using descriptive notes or class notes to record the child's behavior during the teaching process due to difficulties in to write down the child's behavior as seen by the teacher, and (6) as many as 89% of kindergarten teachers have not used an assessment instrument developed based on the principles of authentic assessment. The results of this study have implications for the need to develop an assessment model that is useful to help teachers conduct a valid and reliable assessment of child development.
Candidates for early childhood education teachers need to have a number of competencies that demonstrate the professionalism of early childhood education teachers. Efforts to help undergraduate students of early childhood education teacher education have the ability to develop a professional attitude are provided by learning programs including the school field introduction program (SFI). The general objectives of this study are to describe, 1) the competence of attitudes and professional skills that early childhood education teachers need to have; 2) the commitment of PGPAUD students to develop professional attitudes and skills that teachers in early childhood education need to have; and 3) students' perceptions of the school field introduction program. This research was conducted using descriptive quantitative research with a sample of 64 students of undergraduate education teacher education for early childhood education at the Universitas Negeri Medan, Faculty of Education. Data was collected using a questionnaire and followed interview by focus group discussion. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics which were complemented by qualitative analysis. The results obtained indicate that: 1) the competence of attitudes and professional skills that early childhood education teachers need to have consists of seven dimensions of professionalism whose descriptions are 120 indicators, 2) 92% of PGPAUD undergraduate students have a high commitment to developing the attitudes and professional skills of PAUD teachers through the (SFI) program, and 3) 88% of undergraduate students in early childhood education teacher education have a good perception of the school field introduction program they have undertaken. The results of this study are expected to be used as study material in developing a school field introduction program and an attitude and professionalism development program for early childhood education teachers as a whole.

Sample of this study were 40 children in group B at TK Karunia. The instrument used is fine motor tests and documentation. Data analysis uses tests of normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis (t-test).
