The objective of this research, to determine the presence of micronuclei in erythrocytes of juvenile fish zebrafish (Danio rerio) exposed to increasing soluble fraction concentrations of burnt soybean oil biodiesel (FSB). The fishes (N=15) were placed in polyethylene aquariums, with constant aeration, and submitted to acute toxicity test in a completely randomized design, with six treatments and two replicates. The treatments consisted of different FSB concentrations: solution I (control), solution II (0.0645 g L-1), solution III (0.129 g L-1), solution IV (0.645 g L-1), solution V (1.29 g L-1) and solution VI (6.45 g L-1). We collected a blood smear lamina for each fish, analyzing 2000 intact erythrocytes. There was significant difference (p
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
