As propostas metodológicas para o ensino de línguas estrangeiras das últimas décadas, ao optarem por adotar um referencial teórico sociointeracionista na definição mais geral da concepção de linguagem e ensino e outro, mais formalista, na fundamentação dos procedimentos empíricos da sala de aula, acabaram por nos colocar numa espécie de limbo metodológico, ou seja, uma metodologia imprecisa teoricamente e confusa na prática. Nesse sentido, este artigo propõe uma discussão acerca dos problemas teórico-metodológicos do ensino de LEs, partindo de uma reflexão sobre o enunciado, fundamentada, por sua vez, por uma concepção de linguagem mais ampla, inspirada nas formulações teóricas dos pensadores do Círculo de Bakhtin.
RESUMOO artigo busca delinear a trajetória na gestão do Setor de Educação da UFPR, no período de 2010 a 2014, quando as autoras estiveram à frente da direção setorial, buscando indicar os desafios da construção de bases mais participativas na gestão acadêmica. Aborda o processo de implantação do modelo de orçamento participativo e da rediscussão do projeto institucional e articulação de diversas ações que buscaram envolver a comunidade educacional interna e externa ao Setor e à Universidade. Entre as ações que serão abordadas, merecem destaque a criação de uma metodologia de orçamento participativo, a revisão do Planejamento Institucional, a criação de um evento permanente que pensasse a docência para além das práticas formativas universitárias, a criação de uma instância de articulação do Setor de Educação com as coordenações dos cursos de licenciatura e por fim a elaboração de uma proposta de qualificação e participação efetiva dos técnicos-administrativos, entre outras. Procura deslindar os impasses presentes na cultura enraizada de uma instituição calcada nos moldes da estrutura legada pela ditadura militar e as potencialidades advindas dos novos processos democratização.Palavras-chave: Gestão educacional. RESUMO:As discussões mais recentes sobre a maneira como os sujeitos concebem o ensino de línguas estrangeiras para crianças demonstram a importância que esta disciplina adquiriu nos últimos anos. Nos discursos veiculados socialmente acerca da aprendizagem de outras línguas na escola, sobressaem-se, contudo, enunciados que assimilam o papel da criança às necessidades e objetivos típicos do universo adulto, deixando de lado todo o aspecto formativo que este aprendizado pode proporcionar. Mas e as crianças, o que têm elas a dizer sobre esta disciplina? Na busca por pistas de reflexão para responder a esta questão, este trabalho apresenta uma análise do discurso infantil sobre o aprendizado de línguas estrangeiras com base nos enunciados de aproximadamente 80 crianças, na faixa etária de 8 a 9 anos, matriculadas em quatro escolas do município de Curitiba que ofertam aulas dos idiomas inglês, francês, alemão ou espanhol. Foi possível constatar, a partir do diálogo com as crianças em rodas de conversa, que elas têm muito a dizer a respeito do tema que lhes foi proposto. A fundamentação da análise enunciativa na teoria do Círculo de Bakhtin permitiu perceber que as concepções infantis sobre o aprendizado de línguas estrangeiras parecem estar bastante marcadas pela presença de uma palavra autoritária que as faz com frequência reiterar ideias relacionadas à função meramente utilitária do aprendizado desta disciplina. No entanto, conforme o diálogo se desenvolve, as crianças começam progressivamente a relatar experiências individuais em relação às línguas estrangeiras e, então, algumas de suas palavras passam a demonstrar um reconhecimento do valor deste aprendizado para aspectos mais amplos de sua formação. Assim, o intuito deste trabalho é de contribuir para uma revisão das metodologias e dos materiais produzidos para o ensino desta disciplina, bem como subsidiar uma reflexão acerca das políticas públicas brasileiras neste âmbito. Este artigo trata do processo institucional de internacionalização da UFPR, que coincide com o de outras universidades brasileiras e se intensificou nos últimos anos, em especial entre 2010 e 2015, com o aumento dos investimentos nas universidades e a ampliação do número de programas de pós-graduação, de convênios com universidades de outros países e de programas de mobilidade acadêmica. Esses investimentos deram visibilidade à necessidade de se ampliar a interlocução e cooperação acadêmica e científica com pesquisadores do mundo todo. Durante os últimos anos, diversas iniciativas e projetos, como o IFA (Formação em Línguas para Fins Acadêmicos), buscaram suprir essas demandas em ações institucionais, isoladas entre si, mas com diferentes papeis na formação acadêmica dos estudantes. Em abril de 2018 foi aprovado o Plano Institucional de Internacionalização da UFPR, que define objetivos para as dimensões de ensino, pesquisa, extensão e cultura. Além disso, define também as ações que compõem uma política linguística institucional que privilegia a língua inglesa, conflitando com a perspectiva multilingue e multicultural do documento. Para compreendermos de que forma o Plano pretende articular as ações já existentes com o atual projeto institucional de internacionalização, pretendemos primeiro contextualizar esse processo na UFPR, e depois tratar das perspectivas formativas do projeto IFA. Para problematizar o contexto e as diretrizes que configuram ao Plano Institucional, nos baseamos nas reflexões de Boaventura Souza Santos sobre os desafios das universidades no mundo globalizado do século XXI. O autor contrapõe um projeto mercodológico e produtivista a um projeto transnacional solidário, e se pergunta de que lado estará a universidade. A partir dessa reflexão, avaliamos as políticas linguísticas de internacionalização da UFPR, contrapondo-as à perspectiva de formação do IFA, pautada pela ética responsiva bakhtiniana.
