A importância do professor no processo de aprendizagem do aluno é primordial, por conta dessa responsabilidade que o docente precisa de usar métodos de ensino que incentivam o aluno a aprender e desenvolver suas atividades cognitivas. As ciências exatas são vistas pelos alunos como uma barreira, antes mesmo do discente conhecer a componente curricular, essas dificuldades relacionam-se principalmente ao fato de que estas componentes curriculares envolvem o raciocínio lógico, onde o aluno precisa de fazer as relações para uma melhor compreensão do conteúdo. A química possui sua linguagem própria, utilizando sinais e símbolos um tanto incomuns para os que se deparam com ela de princípio, além de que ela é fragmentada envolvendo conceitos abstratos bastante específico, e não buscar metodologias que auxilie o aluno a compreender essa linguagem, resulta na evasão dele para com a disciplina. A metodologia tradicional do uso dos livros e resoluções de problemas não estão errados, é importante que o professor incentive o aluno a ser habituado com o livro didático, no entanto o problema está quando o docente torna esse método monótono e sem flexibilidade, refletindo no grau de entendimento do aluno. Por esse motivo, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o grau de dificuldade que as turmas do 1ª série do Ensino Médio, da Escola Estadual Augusto dos Anjos, têm com os assuntos de química da sua matriz e com base no resultado criar um material de apoio, que os auxiliem nas avaliações com consulta. O material de apoio mostrou- se ser eficaz, uma vez que 64,3% dos alunos que o utilizaram na avaliação com consulta afirmaram ter ajudado bastante, enquanto que 35,7% afirmaram que os ajudaram parcialmente. 78,6% dos alunos que não utilizaram do material, mas tiveram acesso a ele posteriormente afirmaram que ele teria os ajudado muito na avaliação.
