Medicinal plants have long been known and used by the people of Indonesia and are still used today because they rarely cause side effects. One community that still uses plants as traditional medicine is the Suku Anak Dalam (Anak Dalam Tribe) (SAD) which lives in Nyogan Village, Mestong District, Jambi. As a result of the land use change in Jambi, where the forest has shifted to oil palm plantations, the forest as a habitat for medicinal plants is also decreasing, and there is even a concern that there will be a loss of germplasm. This research aimed to find out medicinal plants used by SAD in traditional medicine. This research is qualitative research with in-depth interviews and observation to collect data. The results showed that there were about 17 plants used as traditional medicine by SAD in Nyogan Village. Of the 17 plant species, four plant species were classified rare, namely Mampat wood (Cratoxylum arborescens (Vahl.) Blume), Putat wood (Planchonia valida [B.]), Brumbung wood (Adina minutiflora Val; Pertusadina spp), Bulian wood (Eusideroxylon zwageri L.). The parts of the plant that are often used for traditional medicine are bark, leaves, and plant roots, as internal medicine (oral) and external medicine. The results of this research provide an overview of medicinal plants that are still used by SAD so that they can be preserved in the future
In Indonesia, which is an archipelagic country with unique diversity on each island, conflictsoften occur between one another. In the school, there are some conflicts between students whodo not understand multiculturalism. Therefore, this research has been done at SMP Negeri 7Muaro Jambi in Jambi Province to know the understanding of students about multiculturalism. This research is qualitative research by observing and distributing Google Forms. The results ofthis study indicate that some students have understood and practiced multiculturalism in schoolwhile others still need to be given further guidance. Keywords : Implementasi, Multikultural, Budaya
Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is a program designed to achieve sustainable development goals. In the 2013 curriculum, ESD has been used as one of the bases for teaching science to students. However, the existence of the Covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia has had an effect on science learning activities in junior high schools, so that face-to-face learning has been shifted to online learning. This study aims to analyze activities in online learning, the obstacles experienced by teachers and students, and their effectiveness in implementing ESD principles. The method used is descriptive qualitative to describe online learning at one of the Junior High School (SMP) and Islamic Junior High School (MTs) in West Java. The Researchers used data from the analysis of the teacher's lesson plan and semi-structured interviews with 2 teachers and 2 students. Data analysis was performed by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results show that online learning is less effective in implementing ESD values because the material presented is limited and learning is only one-way (teacher center). Online learning is carried out using WhatsApp, Google Classroom, and e-learning media with obstacles in the form of internet network instability and a lack of student motivation. Therefore, it is hoped that the teacher can use a learning model that is more attractive, student-centered, and can implement the principles of ESD.
