Os resultados aqui apresentados são referentes às medidas de Radioatividade Natural efetuadas durante as campanhas de campo da Seção Minas Gerais do PROJETO GASBRAS. Esse projeto é uma rede P&D (Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento) de gás não convencional no Brasil, constituída por várias instituições brasileiras, fomentado pela Fundação de Estudos e Projetos (FINEP). Este relatório integra os estudos ambientais pré-operacionais (baselines), coordenados pelo Centro Desenvolvimento da Tecnologia Nuclear (CDTN) e pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), ora em desenvolvimento nas bacias dos rios Indaía e Borrachudo (Morada Nova de Minas-MG). Essas bacias encerram condições geológicas potencialmente favoráveis à exploração de gás não convencional. O objetivo deste trabalho foi de realizar um estudo dosimétrico das medidas da radioatividade natural, alfa e beta totais e gama, realizadas em águas residuárias. Foi assim, determinada a dose efetiva comprometida anual de radionuclídeos nessas matrizes e comparadas suas atividades especificas com os valores máximos permitidos presente no Anexo IX da Portaria MS n° 2.914/2011. As amostras de água residuária foram coletadas em diversos pontos e campanhas na região estudada. A atividade específica de alfa e beta totais foram medidas em contador proporcional, para fim de verificar os níveis de triagem que conferem potabilidade da água do ponto de vista radiológico. Foram, também, determinadas a contagem gama para todas as amostras de águas residuárias do estudo utilizando cintilômetro. Os tratamentos estatísticos foram realizados utilizando o programa da Microsoft Excell 2007. Percebeu-se que os parâmetros utilizados para determinar a radioatividade natural das amostras coletas nos pontos referentes à exploração e produção de óleo e gás não convencional do Projeto GASBRAS Seção Minas Gerais, se mantiveram em valores muito abaixo dos de referência o que leva a afirmar que os aspectos geoquímicos presente na região de estudo não contribuíram para aumentos significativos da radiatividade nas amostras de água residuárias.
