Este trabajo organiza un conjunto de reflexiones generadas a partir de las clases de Danza y Sensopercepción que se dictan desde la cátedra de Educación Física 5 de la carrera de Educación Física de la Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. El interés central está puesto en el nuevo territorio que se construye a partir del encuentro de estas prácticas con la Educación Física, cada una con su recorrido histórico-político, sus saberes y sus técnicas. La pregunta es
qué saber es posible ofrecer, qué implicancias tiene para la Educación Física la recepción de una propuesta que no forma parte de sus saberes establecidos y qué espacio se discrimina entre ambos territorios para pensar la educación del cuerpo y la formación de profesores.
A partir de la lectura de una fuente primaria, el texto de Andry <i>L’orthopédie ou l’art de prevenir et corriger dans les enfans, les difformités du corps</i> el trabajo se centra en una lectura histórico-política del inicio de la ortopedia infantil en Francia del siglo XVIII. Esta investigación en el recorrido de las pedagogías de la postura aborda el ajuste de la arquitectura corporal de la anatomía del cuerpo que recorre estéticas y políticas que mantienen el interés por la rectitud corporal. El triunfo del cuidado del cuerpo infantil se constituye en una alianza provechosa de un médico que pauta y una madre que, controlando, ejecuta. La población y los cuerpos individuales pasan a ser una cuestión pública, pasan a ser el objetivo de las estrategias políticas: el cuerpo comienza a ser organizadamente introducido en los engranajes de producción.
