Kendala dalam budidaya tanaman padiadalah adanya serangan patogen seperti cendawan Pyricularia oryzae Cav. penyebab penyakit blas. Penggunaan varietas yang tahan penyakit blas adalah solusi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan produksi. Hal ini karena beragamnya ras penyakit blas yang berkembang, salah satunya yang paling virulen adalah ras 173. Untuk menghasilkan varietas padi yang tahan, diperlukan gen tahan penyakit blas yang bersumber dari genotip lokal padi beras merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji ketahanan 5 genotip lokal padi beras merah, mengetahui keragaman dan menduga apakah sifat tersebut dapat diwariskan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari – Mei 2014, di desa Ketawang, kecamatan Gondanglegi, kabupaten Malang. Bahan yang digunakan adalah 5 genotip lokal padi beras merah dan 2 varietas cek. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan IRRI SES. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan genotip Mandel memiliki penampilan terbaik pada semua karakter ketahanan seperti periode laten, skor tingkat ketahanan dan intensitas serangan penyakit.
This study aims to find out how the role of Youth Organization in fostering social awareness of youth, any form of social care carried out by Karang Taruna of Perumahan and supporting factors and inhibitors of Bukit Permai Youth Organization in fostering youth social awareness. Theory uses Social Concern theory According to Crandall in Addision E. Gradel (2009: 35) includes motivation, understanding, empathy and contribution. The research method uses qualitative descriptive. Research informants from the Bukit Permai Housing Youth Organization and Pimpina in the Bukit Permai Housing Community Area. Test the validity of the data using source triangulation and member check techniques. Data analysis used qualitative data analysis of Miles and Huberman. The results of the study regarding the role of youth organizations in fostering social awareness include (1) Karang Taruna members providing motivation to youth by inviting them to contribute to social activities for their development and the environment, (2) asking for proposals for ideas and ideas from non youth members, ( 3) providing an understanding of the implementation of social activities needed so that the community environment is conducive, (4) inviting youth to be involved in youth activities, especially planning social activities. Forms of social activities such as community service cleaning sanitation channels, cleaning public facilities, installing street lighting in each block, conducting fogging, donating activities to the poor and disaster, making hydroponic parks in collaboration with RTs, focus group discussions, youth discussion activities internal routine.
Information and communication technologies can support learning of geometry through geogebra software. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of dynamic mathematics software geogebra towards problem solving and self-efficacy. Seventy-four university students divided to one class assigned as geogebra assisted learning and the other as using conventional learning. The results showed a significant difference of problem solving between these two groups statistically. Additionally, The results showed that there is a significant difference of self-efficacy between these two groups statistically. The results indicates that the problem solving and sef-efficacy of the university students using geogebra assisted better than using conventional learning. We can conclude that the dynamic mathematics software geogebra is effective to improve problem solving and self-efficacy
Ketidakseimbangan hara dalam budidaya tanaman jagung menjadi salah satu penyabab rendahnya pertumbuhan dan produksi jagun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi keseimbangan nitrogen dan magnesium dalam meningkatkan partumbuhan dan produksi jagung. Percobaan dilaksanakan di lahan Politeknik Negeri Jember dari maret sampai juni 2021. Percobaan disusun menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok faktorial yang terdiri dari dosis nitrogen dan magnesium yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Perlakuan dosis nitrogen (urea) terdiri dari 5 taraf yaitu 200 kg/ha, 280 kg/ha, 360 kg/ha, 450 kg/ha, dan 550 kg/ha, sedangkan magnesium (MgCO3) terdiri dari 5 taraf yaitu 80 kg/ha, 90 kg/ha, 96 kg/ha, 107 kg/ha, dan 114 kg/ha. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan dosis 360 kg/ha urea memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap tinggi tanaman (212,1 cm) dan kandungan klorofil (635,6 µmol/cm2). Sedangkan apilkasi magnesium 96 kg/ha (MgCO3) menunjukan pengaruh terbaik terhadap tinggi tanaman (210,6 cm). Keseimbangan Mg dan N yang optimal yaitu 27 kg Mg/ha dan 165 kg N/ha dengan rasio 1:6 memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman jagung.
