Particularly, at the outset the researcher writes that, the insight of conducting and model specification for the study was gained from, Guerrero, Rialp, & Urbano, (2006). Due to the proven validity of intention based models to assess entrepreneurial intention and the non-validity of assessing entrepreneurial intention based on psychological characteristics, general dispositions, and personality traits and demographic factors, the researcher investigates the most appropriate model specification to assess entreprnenurial intention which is named as Krueger and Brazeal's Entrepreneurial Potential Model. Particularly, the study was conducted in the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, among the undergraduates of the Department of Commerce and Financial Management. Multiple regression analysis of the study was used to prove the stated hypothesis of the study and the researcher concludes that behavioral beliefs, self efficacy and credibility affect significantly towards the entrepreneurial intention within the selected undergraduates. Finally, the researcher suggests the prerequisite of conducting qualitative assessment in this regard and suggests some actions to implement to strengthen new venture creation in Sri Lanka.
This study was undertaken with the objective of asserting the significant determinants of microfinance profitability in Sri Lankan microfinance institutions. This study is based on eleven microfinance institutions in Sri Lanka, within the period of 2005-2010, which are practicing microfinance at present. In this study, profitability is measured by profitability and sustainability ratios. Determinants of microfinance profitability are measured by efficiency and productivity, financing structure and portfolio quality ratios. Profitability is measured by return on equity ratio, return on assets ratio, and profit margin ratio. Sustainability is measured by operational self sufficiency ratio. Efficiency and productivity are measured by operating expense ratio, personal productivity ratio and cost per borrower ratio. Financing structure is measured by debt/equity ratio. Portfolio quality is measured by writeoff ratio. Finally, the researcher intends to postulate that, the cost per borrower is a determinant for return on equity and operational self sufficiency. Besides, the operating expense ratio and write off ratios are determinants of return on equity, return on assets and profit margin. Observations of the debt/equity variable of the study imply causality for the return on assets and operational self sufficiency as a determinant of respective models.
Purpose: Due to the upgrade of technology, it has swapped the methods of controlling human beings in companies. In this context, finding the elements influencing the success of the HRIS in ABC manufacturing (Pvt) Ltd was the current research motive. Research methodology: The study design was deductive and quantitative. Moreover, primary data with Scale questionnaire was utilized for data gathering. 30 executives were selected in ABC manufacturing (Pvt) Ltd have directly dealt with the HRI System. Further, data analysis did through regression analysis. Results: The results confirmed that the success of HRIS was significantly impacted by the internal environmental elements and the external environmental elements. Also, found that internal environmental factors have the highest influence on the success of HRIS compared with the rest. Limitations: The respondents chosen for the study were 30 in one single company. Instead, the researcher selected two determinants only. Contribution: The researcher is motivated through this study because electronic, personal applications are now highly concern in local companies. The research findings can apply to organizations in third-world profiles to boost their HRI systems' efficacy. Keywords: Human Resource Information System (HRIS), Internal environmental elements, External environmental elements
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
