O método netnográfico se insere nos estudos qualitativos que procuram realizar pesquisas em comunidades virtuais. Neste contexto, objetiva-se analisar a utilização do método netnográfico nas dissertações e teses defendidas nos Programas de Pós-graduação da área de Turismo no Brasil, até julho de 2018, através de uma análise documental de abordagem qualitativa. Quanto aos resultados, constatou-se que dos 811 trabalhos analisados, apenas três utilizaram a netnografia. Todavia, a aplicação da netnografia nestes trabalhos apresentou limitações que funcionam como fatores restritivos, tais como a superficialidade na análise dos dados coletados, e a escassez de uma análise reflexiva sobre os comportamentos e discursos manifestados nas comunidades virtuais. Por outro lado, o método também apresentou aspectos facilitadores que favoreceram sua escolha, como o acesso fácil ao levantamento de dados no ambiente virtual e a registros de viajantes e stakeholders da atividade turística, e a coleta de dados menos invasiva do que métodos presenciais, entre outros. Apesar de ser um método recente e pouco utilizado na área de Turismo, mostra-se como uma alternativa viável para os pesquisadores que estudam comunidades virtuais, desde que aplicados com critérios científicos rigorosos.
Cada vez mais consumidores recorrem ao boca a boca eletrônico (eWOM) gerado por outros usuários antes de escolherem a opção de hospedagem para a próxima viagem. Sabendo disso, alguns canais de vendas na internet disponibilizam às empresas a oportunidade de responderem às avaliações dos hóspedes, algo imprescindível para a gestão da reputação on-line. À vista disso, esta pesquisa objetivou analisar como as empresas de hospedagem de diferentes classificações por estrelas (autoclassificação) vêm gerenciando as respostas ao eWOM negativo no site Booking.com. O estudo qualitativo se baseou na análise de 251 respostas a comentários negativos, publicadas por 51 meios de hospedagem localizados na cidade de Natal (RN). Algumas categorias de análise foram previamente definidas com base em estudos antecedentes (Lee & Song, 2010; Sparks, So, & Bradley, 2016; Li, Cui, & Peng, 2017). A pesquisa trouxe contribuições teóricas a partir do surgimento de novas subcategorias de análise, além de recomendações práticas aos gestores, ao permitir conhecer a maneira como as empresas vêm gerenciando as respostas ao eWOM negativo. De forma geral, as discussões levantadas podem auxiliar as organizações do setor de hospedagem a conduzirem uma estratégia de respostas mais direcionada, trazendo benefícios para uma melhor gestão da reputação on-line dessas empresas.
. A brinquedoteca como espaço de promoção da hospitalidade e garantia de direitos da criança: um estudo de caso em um hospital da Paraíba. Applied Tourism, 2(2), 134-160. RESUMO O ato de brincar está intimamente inserido no contexto da recreação, e inúmeras pesquisas demonstram seus benefícios para o desenvolvimento social e psicológico na fase da infância. Diante de tamanha importância, o brincar foi elevado à categoria de direito fundamental da criança garantido, há tempos, em diversos instrumentos jurídicos internacionais e nacionais. Esta pesquisa objetiva analisar como a inserção das brinquedotecas em hospitais tem ajudado a garantir o "direito de brincar" das crianças, e como estes espaços têm contribuído para a promoção do "bementreter", preceituado pela hospitalidade. A partir de um estudo de caso em um hospital paraibano que atende ao público infantil com câncer, constatou-se que, apesar de dispor do espaço da brinquedoteca, e atender assim a Lei da Brinquedoteca Hospitalar, sem sua efetiva utilização por uma equipe de recreação, qualificada e especializada, e de maneira planejada e contínua, o direito da criança de usufruir deste local para as brincadeiras tão importantes para sua recuperação e tratamento, acaba por não ser garantido.Palavras-chaves: Hotelaria Hospitalar.
