Muitas empresas da cadeia produtiva da construção civil ainda têm como desafio a adoção dos conceitos de qualidade, desempenho, sustentabilidade, comissionamento, coordenação de projeto, gerenciamento de execução e gerenciamento de facilidades para a solução de problemas sociais, ambientais e econômicos, resultantes de suas atividades nas fases de planejamento, projeto, execução, operação e manutenção e renovação ou demolição. O comissionamento é um processo que atua em conjunto com a coordenação do projeto, o gerenciamento de execução e o gerenciamento de facilidades, para atender aos requisitos de projeto do proprietário, documentar as fases do ciclo de vida do empreendimento, capacitar os profissionais de operação e manutenção, com o objetivo de evitar as falhas, diminuir desperdícios e retrabalhos, melhorar a qualidade, o desempenho e a sustentabilidade. O processo de comissionamento é mais difundido em sistemas prediais de ar condicionado e iluminação tendo como meta a alta eficiência energética e a economia de água. No Brasil o processo de comissionamento de sistemas prediais hidrossanitários é pouco utilizado. Neste contexto, o objetivo deste artigo é mostrar a inter-relação entre os processos de comissionamento, coordenação de projetos, gerenciamento de execução, gerenciamento de facilidades e os objetivos da qualidade, desempenho, sustentabilidade e o impacto de sua aplicação em sistemas prediais hidrossanitários. Para realização deste artigo exploratório, utilizou-se a pesquisa bibliográfica. O resultado é apresentado por meio da proposição de uma figura de inter-relacionamento das relações existentes entre as premissas, as etapas do ciclo de vida, as fases e os processos do empreendimento para demonstrar em que momento executa-se o processo de comissionamento. Este trabalho contribuirá para difundir o conceito de comissionamento e embasar um modelo de processo de comissionamento para sistemas prediais hidrossanitários.
