The study aimed to evaluate the relationship between occupational stress and the work capacity index of 368 nurses (82.1% of the population) of a Hospital Group. A questionnaire with socio-occupational questions was used as well as two scales: the Job Stress Scale and the Work Capacity Index. The group of nurses was predominantly female (93.2%), worked in care activities (63.9%), had undertaken at least one Postgraduate course (76%) and were satisfied with the unit where they worked (70.5% Estrés laboral y capacidad para el trabajo de enfermeros de un grupo hospitalarioSe trata de un estudio con objetivo de evaluar la relación entre el estrés laboral y el índice de capacidad para el trabajo de 368 enfermeros (82,1% de la población) de un Grupo Hospitalario. Se utilizó un cuestionario con cuestiones socio ocupacionales y dos escalas: la Job Stress Scale y el Índice de Capacidad para el Trabajo. El grupo de enfermeros es predominantemente femenino (93,2%), trabaja en actividades asistenciales (63,9%), posee por lo menos un curso de posgraduación (76%) y está satisfecho con la unidad donde trabaja (70,5%). El estrés laboral está presente en 23,6% de los enfermeros, de estos 15,2% presentan Alta Exigencia en el trabajo y 8,4% Trabajo Pasivo. El Apoyo Social ejerce influencia positiva significativa sobre todos los grupos expuestos y no expuestos al estrés laboral. En cuanto a la Capacidad para el Trabajo, está es Moderada (28-36 puntos) para 51,4% de los enfermeros y Buena (37-43 puntos) para 47,4%. No se encontró correlación entre el estrés y la capacidad para el trabajo.
ResumoCapacitação e educação são essenciais aos profissionais de saúde sobre a importância da higienização das mãos (HM) durante a assistência direta, no intuito de, constantemente, provocar reflexão e o aumento na adesão à HM. Este estudo comparou a taxa de adesão à HM, após uma campanha de capacitação em Centro de Terapia Intensiva Adulto (CTI). Foram comparadas as taxas de adesão de HM verificadas em março e junho de 2012, do CTI Adulto, respectivamente, antes e após a campanha de capacitação realizada pelo Serviço de Controle de Infecção Hospitalar nos meses de abril e maio do mesmo ano. Os resultados apontam uma maior adesão à HM pelos profissionais enfermeiros (67,57%) e fisioterapeutas (72,73%) antes da campanha. Após a campanha de educação, a resposta em relação à higiene correta pelos profissionais da enfermagem aumentou (79,31%), enquanto para os fisioterapeutas houve uma redução (56,25%) na taxa de adesão. Mesmo com todas as evidências convincentes publicadas sobre a importância da adesão à higienização de mãos no combate às infecções, ainda não se atingiu a adesão total à técnica. Portanto, a capacitação específica e periódica influencia nos índices de adesão de HM e na melhoria da qualidade da assistência, resultando em maior segurança dos processos assistenciais. Mesmo com todas as evidências convincentes publicadas sobre a importância da adesão à higienização das mãos -HM no combate às infecções e campanhas mundialmente conhecidas da Organização Mundial da Saúde -OMS, os profissionais de saúde, infelizmente, são resistentes a esta prática. Incluem-se neste grupo, os profissionais que trabalham em Unidades de Terapia Intensiva, em que a demanda de trabalho é grande e a complexidade do atendimento é alta, tornando-se o local, que abriga o maior número de pacientes vulneráveis a adquirir infecções relacionadas à saúde -IRAS 2 . É necessário ressaltar que a adesão à higiene de mãos está abaixo do ideal, chegando a somar apenas 10% em condições de sobrecarga de tempo e trabalho 3 . Estudos internacionais apontam taxas de adesão de 40 a 48% 4,5 . No Brasil, os indicadores se mantêm na mesma média, com achados de 46% de adesão à técnica 6 . Não havendo dúvidas a respeito da eficácia da HM e pela simplicidade deste ato, a baixa adesão à HM é reportada por vários estudos em todo o mundo. Desta forma, o aumento da taxa durante o cuidado assistencial é considerado como prioridade por diversos órgãos internacionais e nacionais 7 . Analisar o perfil epidemiológico da mortalidade da população brasileira por complicações decorrentes da assistência médica e cirúrgica, registrados na base de dados do Sistema de Informações sobre Mortalidade (SIM), no período de janeiro de 2000 a dezembro de 2010, segundo o local de ocorrência. Estudo ecológico sobre mortalidade por complicações da assistência médica e cirúrgica, de janeiro de 2000 a dezembro de 2010, dos dados disponibilizados online, via Tabnet, pelo Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Saúde - DATASUS. As mulheres (52,3%), brancas (64%) em idade avançada (65,6%), estão mais propensas às complicações decorrentes da assistência médica e cirúrgica. O evento adverso mais frequente foi a reação anormal ou complicação tardia, causadas por intervenção cirúrgica e por outros atos cirúrgicos, sem menção de acidente durante a intervenção e a maioria dos óbitos (93%) ocorreram em instituições hospitalares. Taxas aumentadas de mortalidade são evidenciadas nas regiões nordeste e sudeste do Brasil. A análise de mortalidade com elementos individuais e organizacionais, sugerem, como possíveis protetores ao óbito, o aumento da escolaridade, da renda média domiciliar per capita e o investimento em profissionais e na Atenção Básica de Saúde. A alteração da postura punitiva para uma postura educativa dentro das instituições, visando a prevenção do dano e o registro consciencioso das notificações, pode subsidiar o aumento das notificações e, consequentemente, das possibilidades analíticas desta temática.Palavras-chaves: Monitoramento Epidemiológico. Segurança do Paciente.AbstractAnalyze the epidemiological profile of the Brazilian population mortality from complications arising from medical and surgical assistance, registered in the database of the Mortality Information System (SIM), from January 2000 to December 2010, according to the place of occurrence. Ecological study on mortality from complications of medical and surgical assistance, from January 2000 to December 2010, date provided online, via Tabnet, by the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System-DATASUS. Women (52.3%), white (64%) in old age (65.6%), are more prone to complications arising from medical and surgical assistance. The most frequent adverse event was the abnormal reaction or late complication caused by surgery and other surgical acts, without mentioning accidents during the intervention and the majority of deaths (93%) occurred in hospitals. Increased rates of mortality are highlighted in the Northeast and Southeast regions of Brazil. The analysis of mortality on individual and organizational elements, suggest, the potential protectors to the death, the increase in schooling, the average income per capita household and professional investment in the basic attention to health. Changing the punitive posture is an educational stance within the institutions, OBJETIVOU at the prevention of damage and conscientious record of notifications can subsidize the increase in notifications and, consequently, of the analytical possibilities of this theme.Keywords: Epidemiological Monitoring. Os quimioterápicos antineoplásicos são cada vez mais utilizados no tratamento de neoplasias, e, por isso, é fundamental que o enfermeiro possua conhecimento sobre o manuseio desses fármacos. Dessa forma, a utilização de tecnologias inteligentes são iniciativas que podem contribuir para a promoção da segurança do paciente pediátrico hospitalizado. O objetivo geral deste estudo foi identificar as necessidades da ferramenta auxiliar tipo aplicativo como apoio para solucionar as dúvidas que possam ocorrer durante a administração de quimioterápicos em pediatria, com base em informações e necessidades citadas pelos enfermeiros, para identificar quais drogas foram sugeridas, suas particularidades durante a administração e para a resolução de eventos adversos ou intercorrências. A gama de medicamentos utilizados no tratamento oncológico é vasta e suas categorias variam de antibióticos a anticorpos monoclonais, sendo utilizados nos protocolos em combinação com as drogas mais tradicionais, tendo extrema importância para a efetividade do conjunto das combinações de medicamentos. Com base nessas pontuações, pode-se concluir que um instrumento que facilita o trabalho e cria um ambiente seguro no tratamento de pacientes pediátricos em tratamento oncológico é valido. Salienta-se, então, a importância de um aplicativo que possa auxiliar os profissionais no seu dia a dia de trabalho para este grupo de pacientes ou, ainda, de outras especialidades.
