Objective and subjective scaled measures suggest that treatment of Reinke's edema in the office with a 532nm KTP laser may result in improved voice. It appears safe with histologic preservation of the vocal fold vibratory epithelium and persistence of mucosal wave.
Purpose/Objective(s): To evaluate the prognostic value of the new 8 th edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging system in anal cancer patients treated with curative chemoradiotherapy. Materials/Methods: Between January 2000 and December 2013, 284 patients with anal squamous cell carcinoma treated with curative chemoradiotherapy were analyzed retrospectively in multi-institutional database (KROG 18-05). For each patient, T, N, and M classifications and AJCC 7 th and 8 th stages were formulated. Survival outcomes were assessed using the Kaplan-Meier method, and stages and classifications were compared by the log-rank test. Results: At the time of analysis, 53 patients had died and 231 patients remained alive and the median follow-up time was 6.0 years (range, 0.2 e 17.7 years).
