One of the most recently developed heuristic optimization algorithms is dragonfly by Mirjalili. Dragonfly algorithm has shown its ability to optimizing different real-world problems. It has three variants. In this work, an overview of the algorithm and its variants is presented. Moreover, the hybridization versions of the algorithm are discussed. Furthermore, the results of the applications that utilized the dragonfly algorithm in applied science are offered in the following area: machine learning, image processing, wireless, and networking. It is then compared with some other metaheuristic algorithms. In addition, the algorithm is tested on the CEC-C06 2019 benchmark functions. The results prove that the algorithm has great exploration ability and its convergence rate is better than the other algorithms in the literature, such as PSO and GA. In general, in this survey, the strong and weak points of the algorithm are discussed. Furthermore, some future works that will help in improving the algorithm's weak points are recommended. This study is conducted with the hope of offering beneficial information about dragonfly algorithm to the researchers who want to study the algorithm.
A novel evolutionary algorithm called learner performance based behavior algorithm (LPB) is proposed in this article. The basic inspiration of LPB originates from the process of accepting graduated learners from high school in different departments at university. In addition, the changes those learners should do in their studying behaviors to improve their study level at university. The most important stages of optimization; exploitation and exploration are outlined by designing the process of accepting graduated learners from high school to university and the procedure of improving the learner's studying behavior at university to improve the level of their study. To show the accuracy of the proposed algorithm, it is evaluated against a number of test functions, such as traditional benchmark functions, CEC-C06 2019 test functions, and a real-world case study problem. The results of the proposed algorithm are then compared to the DA, GA, and PSO. The proposed algorithm produced superior results in most of the cases and comparative in some others. It is proved that the algorithm has a great ability to deal with the large optimization problems comparing to the DA, GA, and PSO. The overall results proved the ability of LPB in improving the initial population and converging towards the global optima. Moreover, the results of the proposed work are proved statistically.

Dragonfly algorithm developed in 2016. It is one of the algorithms used by the researchers to optimize an extensive series of uses and applications in various areas. At times, it offers superior performance compared to the most well-known optimization techniques. However, this algorithm faces several difficulties when it is utilized to enhance complex optimization problems. This work addressed the robustness of the method to solve real-world optimization issues, and its deficiency to improve complex optimization problems. This review paper shows a comprehensive investigation of the dragonfly algorithm in the engineering area. First, an overview of the algorithm is discussed. Besides, we also examine the modifications of the algorithm. The merged forms of this algorithm with different techniques and the modifications that have been done to make the algorithm perform better are addressed. Additionally, a survey on applications in the engineering area that used the dragonfly algorithm is offered. A comparison is made between the algorithm and other metaheuristic techniques to show its ability to enhance various problems. The outcomes of the algorithm from the works that utilized the dragonfly algorithm previously and the outcomes of the benchmark test functions proved that in comparison with some techniques, the dragonfly algorithm owns an excellent performance, especially for small to intermediate applications. Moreover, the congestion facts of the technique and some future works are presented. The authors conducted this research to help other researchers who want to study the algorithm and utilize it to optimize engineering problems.

Abstract:In developing web sites there are some rules that developers should depend on in order to create a site suitable to the users' needs and also to make them as comfort as possible when they surf it. Before creating any website or operating any application, it is important for developers to address the functionality, design, usability and security of the work according to the demands. Every developer has his/her own way to develop a website, some prefer to use website builders and while others prefer to what they have primarily formed in their mind What they have primarily formed in their mind preferred software and programming languages. Therefore, this paper will compare the web based sites and open source projects in terms of functionality, usability, design and security in order to help academic staffs or business organization for choosing the best way for developing an academic or e-commerce web site.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
