A pandemia do coronavírus (COVID-19) causou uma mudança brusca na vida da população, sobretudo pelo medo da contaminação pelo vírus SARS-CoV-2, desse modo, o isolamento social foi adotado como medida de controle para atenuar a transmissão viral. Este contexto gerou um ambiente desfavorável, que culminou com o desenvolvimento ou piora do quadro clínico dos pacientes com Transtorno Obsessivo Compulsivo (TOC). Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar a influência da pandemia do COVID-19 nos casos de TOC. Para elaborar esta revisão de literatura, buscou-se artigos indexados nas plataformas Scielo e Pubmed, usando os descritores “Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder” e “Covid-19” e sendo usado o operador booleano “AND”. Foram incluídos artigos publicados entre 2020 e 2022, em inglês e português e de acesso livre, excluiu-se aqueles que não se enquadravam em tais critérios e à temática, dessa maneira obtendo-se 113 artigos. Na seleção dos artigos a serem analisados, 32 se enquadraram na primeira etapa e, por fim, seguindo os critérios de inclusão e exclusão após leitura minunciosa, a etapa final contou com 18 artigos para análise. Assim, foi inferido que pandemias globais como a COVID-19 podem representar um fardo substancial para pacientes com TOC relacionado à contaminação. Embora, o impacto da atual pandemia no TOC não seja totalmente conhecido, é possível que o transtorno possa levar de semanas a meses para se tornar aparente, e nota-se um grande risco de recorrência ou exacerbação dos sintomas em alguns pacientes. Entretanto, deve-se considerar que a análise do quadro clínico sofreu influência do período da pandemia que o estudo foi realizado e em que país ocorreu, observando-se manifestações tanto de piora quanto de melhora, a depender dessas variáveis. Contudo, notou-se que, de maneira geral, o foco excessivo da mídia e sociedade na prevenção da contaminação e a normalização dos rituais de descontaminação reforçaram os comportamentos disfuncionais compulsivos. Ademais, no contexto pandêmico existem vários mecanismos pelos quais o TOC pode se agravar, como a dinâmica familiar alterada, que de maneira implícita pode incentivar rituais extremos de descontaminação, proporcionar um ambiente mais estressante e ansiogênico para lidar com os medos relacionados ao vírus. Além disso, estressores financeiros gerados pela insegurança da economia mundial e o isolamento social, podem contribuir para a ansiedade patológica, associado ao estresse, e gerar sintomas depressivos, propiciando hábitos cada vez mais inflexíveis de limpeza e efetivamente obsessivos. Alguns estudos procuraram relacionar o medo e a instabilidade pandêmica de acordo com a faixa etária, sobretudo em estudantes, atribuindo novos diagnósticos de TOC e a sua exacerbação, decorrentes do objetivo de conter a contaminação. Além do mais, a respeito do tratamento foram identificadas certas medidas para enfrentamento do TOC, como por exemplo, mudanças de estilo de vida, aderência a terapia farmacológica de primeira linha, a qual são os inibidores seletivos da recaptação de serotonina (ISRS), e da psicoterapia, especialmente a modalidade cognitivo comportamental (TCC). Portanto, a exacerbação do TOC diante da pandemia da COVID-19 apresenta-se presente, embora a extensão dos diferentes sintomas varie, é de total importância que os profissionais da saúde reconheçam este cenário para promover a aderência ao tratamento medicamentoso e não medicamentoso, melhorando a qualidade de vida dessa população.
Eixo Temático: Psiquiatria Introdução: O Transtorno Bipolar (TB) é um dos transtornos mentais com maior gravidade, caracteriza-se pela alternância entre episódios de mania ou hipomania, e episódios depressivos intercalados por períodos de eutimia. Deve-se ressaltar que os indivíduos diagnosticados com TB podem apresentar inúmeras dificuldades diárias, sobretudo aqueles que não aderem de maneira correta ao tratamento psicofarmacológico, culminando com um pior prognóstico e prejuízos na qualidade de vida. É certo de que pandemia causada pelo coronavírus (COVID-19) impactou negativamente o cotidiano da sociedade contribuindo para o incremento dos fatores de risco para a deterioração da saúde física e mental da população mundial, sobretudo em vulneráveis, como por exemplo, os pacientes com TB. Objetivo: O estudo tem como objetivo compreender o impacto da pandemia de COVID-19 no quadro clínico dos pacientes com transtorno bipolar, analisando os fatores de risco envolvidos na piora sintomatológica do transtorno. Métodos: O presente estudo é uma revisão integrativa, que foi elaborada através de uma busca de artigos na base de dados do PubMed, com os descritores "bipolar disorder", o operador booleano "AND", e "COVID-19". Foram incluídos artigos publicados entre os anos de 2020 e 2022, com textos completos, de acesso gratuito, e em língua inglesa e portuguesa. Os critérios de exclusão foram cartas para editores, ensaios e trabalhos que não contemplavam o tema principal, e aqueles que não se enquadravam aos critérios de inclusão. Foram obtidas 220 amostras, e selecionados 18 artigos com base na leitura dos resumos, após a leitura na íntegra dos mesmos foram captados 9 estudos para análise. Resultados: Foi compreendido que a pandemia de COVID-19 representou um fator extremamente negativo na vida dos pacientes diagnosticados com TB, os quais apresentaram piora em seu quadro clínico durante a crise sanitária, com exacerbação de sintomas de mania, depressão e ideação suicida. Os impactos socioeconômicos causados pela pandemia, o lockdown e o estresse relacionados ao medo do contágio viral tiveram impacto direto em recaídas tanto para sintomas de mania e depressão, como também para estresse e ansiedade. Tais fatores foram exacerbados quando o paciente possuía menor suporte social, dificuldades financeiras principalmente devido ao desemprego, presença de familiares com comorbidades que poderiam resultar em quadros graves de COVID-19, e principalmente a dificuldade dos indivíduos com TB
Eixo Temático: Psiquiatria Introdução: No início do ano de 2020, a pandemia do coronavírus (COVID-19) causada pelo vírus SARS-CoV-2 teve sua gênese, causando uma enorme crise sanitária ao redor do globo. Diante disso, além do elevado número de infectados e de óbitos, foi gerada uma crise socioeconômica que contribuiu com uma desestabilização emocional de milhares de indivíduos, sobretudo grupos mais vulneráveis, como por exemplo as gestantes e as puérperas. A gravidez e o puerpério compreendem períodos em que as mulheres se encontram com grandes mudanças biopsicossociais, tornando-as suscetíveis a vários estressores, e no contexto pandêmico, observou-se aumento dos sintomas de estresse, ansiedade e depressão. Neste sentido, destaca-se um dos grandes problemas de saúde pública da mulher, a Depressão Pós-Parto (DPP), a qual consiste em um transtorno de humor que atinge as puérperas e traz consequências nocivas tanto para saúde materna quanto para o recém-nascido (RN). Objetivo: O estudo objetiva compreender a influência da pandemia de COVID-19 sobre as puérperas, ressaltando suas suscetibilidades em apresentar depressão pós-parto, os fatores de risco envolvidos e as consequências à saúde materna e do RN, além dos fatores de proteção contra o transtorno. Métodos: O presente estudo trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, a qual para sua elaboração foi realizada a busca de artigos na base de dados do PubMed, com os descritores "postpartum depression" e "COVID-19", utilizando o operador booleano "AND" entre eles. Foram incluídos artigos publicados entre os anos de 2020 e 2022, com textos integrais livres, em inglês e português. Os critérios de exclusão foram cartas para editores, ensaios e trabalhos que não abordavam o tema principal, e aqueles que não se enquadravam aos critérios de inclusão. Foram obtidas 226 amostras, com base nos resumos foram escolhidos 28 artigos, e após leitura minuciosa destes trabalhos na íntegra, foram selecionados 15 estudos para análise. Resultados: Foi inferido que a crise sanitária de COVID-19 representou um fator extremamente negativo na vida das puérperas, as quais apresentaram mais frequentemente sintomas da depressão pós-parto que comparado aos anos anteriores. É certo que a pandemia teve como uma de suas consequências, uma crise econômica global. Desse modo, foi observado que puérperas que sofreram dificuldades financeiras, desemprego e menor suporte social, apresentaram mais sintomas de depressão pós-parto. Tais manifestações

Introdução: A pandemia causada pelo coronavírus (COVID-19) impactou de maneira nociva o cotidiano da sociedade, contribuindo para a exacerbação dos fatores de risco para a deterioração biopsicossocial de parcela significativa da população mundial, sobretudo em indivíduos vulneráveis, como os pacientes diagnosticados com Transtorno Bipolar (TB). Este estudo tem como objetivo compreender a influência da pandemia de COVID-19 nos pacientes com TB, analisando os fatores de risco envolvidos na piora do quadro clínico desta população. Metodologia: Revisão integrativa, que foi elaborada através da busca de artigos indexados na base de dados PubMed, utilizando os descritores “bipolar disorder” e “COVID-19”, intercalados pelo operador booleano “AND”. Foram incluídos artigos publicados entre o período de 2020 e 2022 com textos completos de acesso gratuito em língua inglesa e portuguesa, respeitando os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, foram selecionados 9 estudos para compor esta revisão. Resultados e Discussão: Durante a pandemia, com o isolamento social e incertezas do cenário mundial, houve o impacto negativo sobre a saúde mental da população de uma forma geral, tendo as pessoas diagnosticadas com TB uma vulnerabilidade maior, com agravamento de episódios de mania e depressão, podendo aumentar as tendências suicidas. A pandemia trouxe impactos socioeconômicos significativos, as medidas de lockdown associada a uma crise financeira, medo do contágio viral, desemprego e preocupações familiares, resultaram no aumento de estresse e angústia nos pacientes com TB. Além disso, tais indivíduos tiveram dificuldades de acesso aos ambientes de saúde devido à crise pandêmica, resultando em uma instabilidade no tratamento psicofarmacológico comprometendo o quadro clínico destes pacientes, o que levou a uma piora dos sintomas psíquicos diminuindo a qualidade de vida. Outrossim, foi encontrado que os pacientes com TB, durante a pandemia, apresentaram piora na qualidade do sono, aumento do uso de substâncias, como o álcool, excesso na ingestão de alimentos não saudáveis e sedentarismo. Todos esses fatores apresentados provocam mais facilmente episódios maníacos, o que resultou no aumento significativo não só da idealização, mas também na tentativa de suicídio. Ademais, observou-se que indivíduos com TB internados em consequência da infecção pelo vírus SARS-CoV-2 apresentaram uma piora do quadro clínico psíquico, com recaídas em sintomas de depressão e mania/hipomania, principalmente devido a iatrogenias medicamentosas e até mesmo pelo estresse bioquímico causado pela doença viral. Conclusão: Diante do exposto, é possível constatar que a pandemia de COVID-19 causou uma piora no quadro clínico de pacientes diagnosticados com TB, principalmente pelo aumento dos fatores de risco, o que levou à intensas recaídas em sintomas maníacos/hipomaníacos e depressivos, prejudicando os aspectos biopsicossociais dos pacientes bipolares. Esta situação foi mais significativa nos pacientes que se encontravam em vulnerabilidades socioeconômicas, tratamento psicofarmacológico instável e até mesmo naqueles que eram infectados pelo vírus SARS-CoV-2. Dessa maneira, cabe aos profissionais da saúde uma maior atenção voltada para os pacientes com TB, sobretudo em tempos de crise sanitária como a pandemia, oferecendo um maior suporte social e de saúde para esta população, garantindo melhores prognósticos em termos de qualidade de vida para estes pacientes.
