O estudo tem por objetivo reconhecer a importância do enfermeiro no período pós-operatório para auxiliar mulheres na reabilitação da mastectomia com dissecção dos linfonodos axilares. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, que se deu por um levantamento na base de dados da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, onde encontram-se disponíveis dados da LILACS, SciELO, Bdenf, entre outros. Diante da análise dos dados coletados, aplicando-se os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, emergiram-se as categorias: A enfermagem nas recomendações a mulheres com déficit de conhecimento submetidas a mastectomia e Acolhimento a mulheres com distúrbio de imagem corporal. Observou-se que os cuidados realizados pela equipe de enfermagem em mulheres no período de reabilitação pós-mastectomia, proporcionam grandes benefícios quando empregados em conjunto a ações educativas, orientação e escuta ativa. Além disso, a rede de apoio - amigos, familiares e profissionais de saúde - é de fundamental importância na aceitação da autoimagem e aderência a recuperação pós-operatória.
Objetivo: descrever a incidência de complicações em feridas operatórias de mastectomia e identificar fatores associados. Método: estudo retrospectivo desenvolvido em uma coorte hospitalar de 545 mulheres mastectomizadas por câncer de mama no ano 2018 em um centro de assistência de alta complexidade em oncologia da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, após aprovação por Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa. Os dados foram coletados a partir dos prontuários, permitindo cálculos da taxa de incidência e da razão da taxa de incidência para cada complicação. Resultados: a complicação que apresentou maior taxa de incidência foi o sangramento (57,14/100 mastectomias-dia), tendo como fatores associados a raça/cor da pele não branca (Razão da Taxa de Incidência: 3,11) e a diabetes mellitus (Razão da Taxa de Incidência: 0,48). Conclusão: os fatores associados ao sangramento da ferida operatória apontam para a necessidade de novas práticas no cuidado ao pós-operatório de mulheres mastectomizadas.
O estudo tem por objetivo avaliar a qualidade de vida de mulheres que realizam a reconstrução mamária após mastectomia. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, que se deu por levantamento nas bases de dados Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e Scientific Electronic Library Online. Frente à análise dos dados coletados, aplicando-se os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, definiram-se as seguintes categorias: Qualidade de vida em mulheres após mastectomia; Repercussões psicológicas após mastectomia com reconstrução mamária; Repercussões para a saúde física e a funcionalidade da mulher em pós-operatório de mastectomia com reconstrução mamária. Observou-se que a reconstrução mamária após a mastectomia traz melhorias na qualidade de vida das mulheres, principalmente no que diz respeito à autoimagem, à sexualidade e à redução das taxas de depressão e morbidade. Os índices de satisfação após a reconstrução mamária são demonstrados por meio dos relatos relacionados à feminilidade dessas mulheres. Ao analisar os pontos difíceis e críticos de todo o processo, como a sensação de mutilação e o trauma causado pela retirada das mamas, a reconstrução mamária pode apresentar excelentes resultados.
