En este estudio se analiza, desde un punto de vista teórico, la posible relación entre los rasgos de Personalidad y el Estilo de Liderazgo dentro una organización, con el objetivo de determinar algún tipo de causalidad entre ellos. A través de una revisión bibliográfica de artículos científicos indexados en Bases de Datos como Proquest, Science Direct, Springer Link y EbscoHost, se exponen los conceptos más difundidos sobre los estilos de liderazgo transformacional y transaccional así como el modelo de los cinco factores de la Personalidad (BIG FIVE), uno de los modelos más utilizados para medir este atributo. Posteriormente, se exponen estudios que analizan la relación entre estos factores en varios contextos, para luego hacer un análisis crítico de estas investigaciones, desde la perspectiva de los autores de este artículo y de otros investigadores que han analizado temas similares. Finalmente se presentan ciertas consideraciones relacionadas a la forma de evaluar los rasgos de personalidad y estilos de liderazgo dentro de las organizaciones, un aspecto de mucha importancia para directivos encargados de gestionar el talento humano. Además, se hacen ciertas recomendaciones relacionadas a futuras investigaciones que pueden desarrollar los académicos y especialistas en el campo del Liderazgo, Personalidad, Comportamiento Organizacional y Talento Humano.
La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar la relación del Liderazgo transformacional y transaccional con la Autoeficacia emprendedora en una comunidad indígena ubicada en Amazonía ecuatoriana, Provincia de Pastaza, donde se desarrolló una evaluación de las características demográficas de la muestra y un análisis descriptivo de las variables de estudio, para analizar la variable liderazgo se utilizó el cuestionario multifactorial de liderazgo (Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ), y el instrumento de autoeficacia emprendedora desarrollado por De Noble et al. (1999). Además, se midió la confiabilidad de los instrumentos con un análisis de Cronbach y mediante la correlación de Pearson se determinó que el liderazgo transformacional se relaciona de manera significativa con la autoeficacia emprendedora, sin embargo, el liderazgo transaccional no se relaciona con la autoeficacia emprendedora; los resultados indicaron que la actividad emprendedora de la comunidad tiene una influencia de carácter transformacional a través de sus emprendedores líderes, quienes apoyan el desarrollo emprendedor considerando el avance personal de los miembros, sin embargo, no se ha identificado una relación de un proceso de transacción o recompensa en las actividades de emprendimiento, esto permite generar posibles investigaciones que analicen futuros comportamientos de emprendimiento con respecto a procedimientos transaccionales y transformacionales de liderazgo en el emprendimientos en diversos contextos similares.
El emprendimiento es una variable determinante en el desarrollo social, económico y humano de los países y regiones, según los resultados reportados en las investigaciones científicas sobre emprendimiento, existen varios factores que generan influencia sobre el comportamiento emprendedor, entre las características que más han generado interés en el campo científico empresarial son los aspectos personales cognitivos y emocionales que direccionan el comportamiento empresarial, por lo tanto, la presente investigación analiza la relación de las emociones en las habilidades emprendedoras en los propietarios de los diferentes servicios turísticos de la ciudad de Puyo, considerando, que la mencionada ciudad se encuentra en un lugar estratégico de la Amazonía ecuatoriana y que permite el desarrollo empresarial de su región, en especial del sector turístico. Para el desarrollo de este estudio se utilizó una metodología de investigación, cuantitativa, de carácter descriptivo y con un horizonte transversal, se aplicaron técnicas estadísticas descriptivas, inferenciales y multivariantes por medio de un análisis factorial confirmatorio y una relación de ecuaciones estructurales MES. Los resultados demostraron que la Inteligencia Emocional y las dimensiones que miden las emociones tiene influencia significativa con la Autoeficacia Emprendedora, variable que mide la creencia en las propias habilidades emprendedoras, por lo tanto, se evidencia que las creencias en las propias habilidades emprendedoras de los empresarios del sector turístico se relacionan de manera directa y significativa con el manejo de las emociones que poseen. Estos resultados permiten contribuir en el desarrollo personal de los emprendedores de la ciudad de Puyo y de la misma manera, permitirá favorecer el bienestar emocional y desempeño laboral de los actores involucrados en los emprendimientos turísticos.
Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo comprobar si la satisfacción laboral tiene influencia en el nivel de engagement de los trabajadores empresas de Ecuador y Perú; estudio transversal, cuantitativo, que utilizó el cuestionario de satisfacción laboral de Paúl Spector y el de engagement de Schaufeli y Bakker; se trabajó con una muestra no probabilistica, a conveniencia encuestando a 897 personas, el 51,2% eran mujeres, el 55,5% posee un título profesional, 9,8% tiene maestría y 78,5 trabajaba en una empresa privada. Mayoritariamente la muestra trabajaba en una empresa de servicios 79,8% y el 60,5% tiene de 1 a 3 años de atiguedad en su trabajo. Los resultados demostraron que la satisfacción influye positiva y significativamente en el Engagement (0.532; p-value < 0.05); lo que permitió aceptar la hipótesis de la investigación. Los gerentes de las empresas deben preocuparse por los distintos aspectos que afectan la satisfacción de los trabajadores.
