Neste artigo, apresentaremos o relato de estágio, desenvolvido em 2018, com usuários de um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS-II) que apresentavam adoecimento psíquico grave. Utilizou-se como dispositivo terapêutico oficinas de expressão corporal em dança. Participaram dessa intervenção 15 usuários, de ambos os sexos, com idades entre 20 e 60 anos, num total de 14 encontros. Para compreensão do fenômeno, utilizou-se como norteador as contribuições do psicanalista Donald Woods Winnicott e outros autores contemporâneos. Verificou-se que intervenções como esta possuem o potencial de propiciar aos usuários formas de ser criativos, de autonomia, frente a condição de adoecimento em que se encontram.
