composition can influence ecosystemic processes either through affecting plant community composition and thus its processes rates, or soil microbial communities, which are directly involved in nutrient cycling (Rillig 2004). According to Pärtel et al. (2016), soil microorganisms are considered a potentially suitable target for studying regional and local effects on diversity. The symbiosis with AMF not only increases nutrient uptake by the plant of mainly phosphorus (P) and nitrogen (N) in exchange for plant-assimilated carbon (C), but also improves the tolerance of plants to various biotic and abiotic stresses such as pathogens, salinity, and drought (Smith and Read 2008). External factors (abiotic and biotic) and intrinsic properties of species (dispersal ability, rates of speciation and extinction) affect the AMF geographical distributions (Chaudhary et al. 2008). For instance, the abiotic factors of temperature and precipitation constrain AMF occurrence (Davison et al. 2015) while biotic ones such as host preferences determine the rhizospheric AMF community (Senés-Guerrero and Schüßler 2016; Soteras et al. 2016). Moreover, anthropogenic activities like agricultural practices that alter soil conditions could influence the occurrence of AM fungal taxa (Cofré et al. 2017). At the same time, either external or internal factors may indirectly influence each other, causing changes in AMF taxa occurrence and distribution (Chaudhary et al. 2008). Introduction: Entomopathogenic fungi have been used as biological control agents of insect pests and have demonstrated a promising ability to colonize as endophytes a wide range of plant species. Objective: The aims of this study were to evaluate, in pepper plants, the most effective Beauveria bassiana inoculation techniques. In order to evaluate the presence of natural endophytes and its interaction with B. bassiana. Also to assess the effect of B. bassiana on the aphid Myzus persicae pepper leaf feeding preference and growth. Methods: Three inoculation techniques were evaluated: leaf spraying, seed immersion and root dipping. The pepper plants were inoculated with a conidia suspension adjusted to 1×108 conidia/ml. The presence of B. bassiana in the seedlings was evaluated at 7, 15 and 28 days after inoculation. Results: We found significant statistical differences between inoculation techniques. Foliar spraying showed the highest B. bassiana colonization frequency. The natural endophytes presented higher presence in the treatments in which B. bassiana had a low presence. This might indicate the occurrence of antifungal activity that interferes with the establishment of the entomopathogen in pepper tissues. We did not find statistical differences between inoculated and control pepper leaves with regard to the mortality and reproduction of the aphid pest M. persicae. However, the inoculation with B. bassiana showed a tendency to increase the mortality of adults and to decrease the offspring (nymphs). We did not find significant differences in the feeding preference between inoculated and control leaves, although there was a higher number of individuals on control leaves compared to those inoculated. Conclusions: The strain B. bassiana LPSC 1067 was established effectively as an endophyte in the pepper tissues. The most effective inoculation technique was leaf spraying. We did not find differences of statistical significance with regard to the mortality and reproduction of the aphid pest M. persicae. However, the inoculation with B. bassiana showed a tendency to increase the mortality of adults and to decrease the offspring (nymphs). Future studies evaluating the indirect effects of endophytic entomopathogens on both plants and herbivorous insects are needed to further explore their potential use in the management of insect pests.
El presente estudio relaciona la inteligencia emocional y el burnout en una muestra de 294 docentes de genero femenino de educación inicial en Ayacucho, de 23 a 65 años (Medad = 40). Se utilizó la Escala de Inteligencia Emocional (WLEIS) y el Cuestionario de Burnout del Profesorado Revisado (CBP-R). Los resultados reportaron que existen correlaciones negativas entre el burnout y el uso (rnúcleo del burnout = -.38; rfalta de realización = -.33; p < .01), regulación (rnúcleo del burnout = -.28; rfalta de realización = -.26; p < .01), valoración de las propias emociones (rburnout nucleus = -.25 rfalta de realización = -.21; p < .01). Por otro parte, al comparar la inteligencia emocional y el burnout con la situación laboral, se determinó que las docentes nombradas se sienten realizadas (U= 8328, z = -2.35, p = .02, RP= .42), usan sus propias emociones (U = 8417, z = -2.23, p = .03, RP= .42) y valoran sus emociones (U = 8330.50, z = -2.35, p = .02, RP= .42), a diferencia de las contratadas. En relación con los estudios de segunda especialidad y diplomados, las docentes que poseen dicha formación usan sus propias emociones (U = 8615, z = -2.33, p = .02, RP= .42), a diferencia de aquellas que no cuentan con dichos estudios. Finalmente, las maestras con auxiliar en el aula usan las propias emociones (U = 7942, z = -3.33, p = .00, RP= .39), valoran sus emociones (U = 8870.5, z = -2.01, p = .04, RP= .43) y se sienten realizadas (U = 8686, z = -2.27, p = .02, RP= .42) a diferencia de aquellas que no cuentan con auxiliar.
This study aimed to analyse the effects of invasion by the exotic Ligustrum lucidum on mycorrhizal associations in forests of Celtis tala, and to determine the role that these fungi play in the invasion process. We analyzed colonization and response to mycorrhization of both plant species under greenhouse conditions after inoculation with soil obtained from patches of non-invaded native forests and invaded forests. The spores present in pots at the end of the experiment were counted and identified. Colonization of L. lucidum was greater in plants inoculated with invaded forest soil, whereas colonization of C. tala was greater in plants inoculated with non-invaded native forest soil. Principal component analysis of fungal species abundance showed differences in AMF composition according to host plant and forest type. The results show that L. lucidum establishes symbiosis with native AMF, which triggers changes in community structure. These changes favored the mycorrhization of L. lucidum and interfered with the mycorrhization of C. tala. AMF may have either a direct or indirect role in the invasion process, not only benefiting the invasive species but also preventing the regeneration of native plants.
