Summary This article describes challenges in the industrial solution business from both the provider's and operator's point of view and proposes an approach to manage these challenges. The approach is based on splitting the engineering process into project-dependent and project-independent activities. This approach is developed and tested in the context of the cooperation between the Institute of Industrial Automation and Software Engineering (IAS) of the University of Stuttgart and Siemens AG.Schlagwörter Domain Engineering, Anlage-und System-Modellierung, Projektgeschäft, Anlagenbau, industrielle Lösung Keywords Domain Engineering, plant and system modeling, project business, industrial plant engineering, industrial solution
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
