Este artigo tem como objetivo principal fazer uma análise de conjuntura sobre os primeiros meses do governo Trump e sua relação com o setor financeiro. Procura confrontar a postura do presidente dos EUA durante a campanha, seus discursos e intensões, com as medidas tomadas no início do governo. Dentre estas medidas destaca-se as indicações de nomes para ocupar as principais agências reguladoras do sistema financeiro dos EUA e ações junto ao poder legislativo tratando da regulação setorial. Para tanto, utiliza-se de fontes jornalísticas e documentais, bem como da literatura científica especializada. Leva-se em consideração que o setor financeiro representa uma da principais fontes de lobby no Congresso americano e tem papel relevante na tomada de decisões estratégicas de governo, com impactos domésticos e internacionais.
O presente trabalho aborda os acordos de swap feitos pela China, através do seu Banco Central, People’s Bank of China (PBOC), com os países integrantes da One Belt One Road (OBOR). O objetivo é identificar se os acordos em questão contemplam elementos característicos da Cooperação Sul – Sul (CSS). A China tem um projeto de expansão global, a OBOR, calcado nas práticas e valores da CSS, que trai países a esse projeto. Nesse contexto, a internacionalização da moeda chinesa cumpre a necessidade da China de lidar com o pós crise de 2008, bem como com sua intenção de aumentar as relações com outros países a partir da sua moeda. A pergunta que guiou o trabalho foi: De qual maneira os acordos de swap cambial feitos pelo Banco Central chinês, dentro da lógica da OBOR, se compatibilizam com as características da Cooperação Sul – Sul? Para responder a esse questionamento, fez-se um estudo de caso, tentando identificar a factibilidade de associar operações cambiais com valores da CSS. Muito embora não tenha sido possível acesso detalhado aos acordos, foi possível identificar que a China trava relações e fecha acordo de swap com diversos países no contexto da OBOR, e o resultado é a preservação da soberania, não intervenção e ganhos mútuos.
No presente artigo é feita a comparação entre a abordagem construtivista, utilizando as ideias de Pierre Bourdieu, com a Teoria Crítica representada pelas ideias de Robert Cox. Parte-se da hipótese de que é possível comparar tais autores e ideias, em função de partilharem ontologias semelhantes, reflexivas e críticas ao positivismo científico, em que a visão estrutural da sociedade se faz presente em categorias socialmente e historicamente construídas. Ao final se concluiu que as comparações entre os autores são possíveis, desde que sejam respeitadas as particularidades da construção das ideias de ambos, partindo do campo comum entre os autores, que seja, as estruturas sociais e reflexividade.
O presente trabalho busca identificar os movimentos do Sistema Financeiro e Monetário Internacional (SFMI) no cenário do pós crise de 2008, em especial os fatos ocorridos com o Renminbi (RMB) da China. Percebeu-se que a moeda americana e sua economia política baseada num forte sistema financeiro não colapsaram, ao contrário, tiveram aumento de importância relativa. O RMB teve uma trajetória de tendência crescente, mas com uma retração de 2015 a 2017. Perguntou-se se a China, desde o período da crise até hoje, teve avanços no processo de internacionalização do RMB? A resposta é que sim, em decorrência de iniciativas que visaram fechar acordo comerciais em RMB como a Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) e pelos seus mercados financeiros offshore, que aumentaram de importância e complexidade ao longo do tempo.
