As queratoses actínicas são máculas, pápulas ou placas queratósicas ou escamosas resultantes da proliferação intraepidérmica de queratinócitos atípicos em resposta à exposição prolongada à radiação ultravioleta. As queratoses actínicas são uma preocupação porque a maioria dos CECs cutâneos que surgem de queratoses actínicas pré-existentes, e as queratoses actínicas que irão progredir para o CEC não podem ser distinguidas de queratoses actínicas que se resolverão espontaneamente ou persistirão, devido a esses fatores, a maioria dos estudos recomedam tratar rotineiramente as queratoses actínicas. As opções de tratamento para queratose actínica incluem terapias destrutivas direcionadas à lesão (por exemplo, cirurgia, crioterapia, dermoabrasão) e terapias direcionadas ao campo com medicamentos tópicos como fluorouracil, imiquimod e mebutato de ingenol, ou terapia fotodinâmica. As terapias de campo são indicadas para o tratamento de áreas com múltiplas queratoses actínicas, lesões subclínicas que não são detectadas por inspeção visual ou palpação e cancerização de campo.
A reconstrução mamária após uma mastectomia unilateral ou bilateral para pacientes com câncer de mama ou após mastectomias para redução de risco pode ser realizada imediatamente após a mastectomia ou como um procedimento tardio usando retalhos de tecido autólogo ou reconstrução baseada em implante. A reconstrução mamária autóloga envolve a transferência de um retalho de tecido de uma área doadora para a parede torácica anterior, a reconstrução mamária autóloga geralmente resulta em uma aparência e sensação mais naturais em comparação com a reconstrução baseada em implantes. As desvantagens da reconstrução autóloga são um procedimento cirúrgico mais longo e tempo de recuperação mais prolongado. As opções para reconstrução baseada em retalhos incluem retalhos musculares e poupadores de músculo. A reconstrução autóloga requer seleção adequada do paciente, mas pode ser realizada em mulheres com uma variedade de tipos de corpo. As contraindicações absolutas para reconstrução mamária autóloga incluem comorbidades médicas graves que impedem anestesia segura e cirurgia prévia no local doador com interrupção do suprimento sanguíneo.
A adolescência é uma fase de transformação da infância para a idade adulta, primordial a união entre família, escola e Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) como pilares no progresso desses jovens indispensáveis para o crescimento biopsicossocial dessa faixa etária. Teve como objetivo a coleta de informações sobre as vivências e problemáticas sofridas pelos adolescentes em uma escola pública de ensino médio. A Atividade decorreu em fevereiro de 2019, na Escola de Ensino Integral e Médio. Realizada com 29 adolescentes entre 15 e 18 anos de idade, estudantes do 1º ano do ensino médio, escolhidos pela direção da escola, ocorrendo uma dinâmica e a aplicação de um questionário com enfoque em situações do cotidiano, com intuito de saber a problemática que mais aflige essa população. Diante dos questionamentos ressaltou-se a falta de assistência da equipe de saúde, pois 55% não conheciam nenhum programa da UBS e 79% a busca pelo serviço foi por doença, além disso na temática da gravidez na adolescência 63,3% considera um dos pontos mais preocupantes dessa população, pois 14% não utilizam nenhum método contraceptivo e não frequenta programas de planejamento familiar. Em relação ao uso de tecnologia, 93,9% tem o uso do celular como um dos principais meios de comunicação, sua principal utilização relatada é nos estudos e interação social. Entretanto, 97% têm o apoio da família nos estudos e em 67% dos alunos os responsáveis frequentam as reuniões na escola. Conclui-se a necessidade dessas famílias estarem mais atentas e envolvidas com a escola em conjunto com a UBS para reconhecer circunstâncias que corroborem para as problemáticas enfrentadas por essa população e a importância dos profissionais da saúde assistirem e intervirem com mais efetividade nessa faixa etária.
