Neste trabalho o objetivo principal foi a minimização de quadráticas em caixas. Dissertamos sobre os métodos de máxima descida e dos gradientes conjugados, bem como sobre um método mais recente denominado gradiente espectral. O GENCAN, um algoritmo que minimiza funções em caixas, foi estudado em detalhe, particularmente avaliando sua aplicação para quadráticas. O objetivo foi analisar o desempenho do GENCAN, comparado com algoritmos anteriores, como o LANCELOT e o QUACAN. Foram executados experimentos numéricos a fim de avaliar o desempenho das versões de GENCAN sem e com pré-condicionamento. Concluiu-se que pré-condicionar o método dos gradientes conjugados neste caso tornou o GENCAN mais robusto. No entanto, o pré-condicionador usado neste software mostrou-se computacionalmente caro. Em relaçãoà comparação do GENCAN, LANCELOT e QUACAN, podemos afirmar que o GENCAN mostrou-se competitivo.
<p><em>Com a presente pesquisa, buscamos compreender como o Sistema </em><em>de Avaliação de Rendimento Escolar do Estado de São Paulo </em><em>(Saresp) se mostra no cotidiano da realidade escolar. A pesquisa </em><em>é de caráter qualitativo e efetuada segundo uma abordagem </em><em>fenomenológica. O Saresp é focado como fenômeno, investigado </em><em>na expressão da realidade vivida por professores, alunos e demais </em><em>agentes da instituição escolar. São apresentadas, como resultado </em><em>da investigação, convergências articuladas pelo movimento de </em><em>redução fenomenológica que tomou como dados os depoimentos </em><em>de sujeitos entrevistados e textos teóricos estudados, tendo como </em><em>eixos: realidade escolar; visão do Saresp; comprometimento com </em><em>o Saresp; encaminhamentos pedagógicos e políticos com base </em><em>nos resultados do Saresp; e visão da matemática escolar.</em></p>
