Evidentemente, isto também conduz a um aumento de mais de 100% na quantidade de defensivos aplicados, caso o usuário não se aperceba do problema.Observou-se menor influência do aumento do orifício do disco sobre a vazão. Por outro lado, os helicóides apresentaram pronunciado desgaste, afetando diretamente a vazão. SINOPSEEstudou-se a influência do tempo que plantas de café permanecem sob um fluxo pulverizado, na cobertura foliar obtida.Foi aplicado um volume de 300 ml por planta durante os tempos de 20, 30 e 40 segundos. A cobertura foliar foi avaliada com a técnica do traçante fluorescente.Analisados estatisticamente os resultados, concluiu-se que o tempo de 30 segundos foi suficiente para a pulverização das quatro plantas de uma cova nas condições do ensaio, sendo de 0,60 litro/minuto a vazão do bico do pulverizador. -INTRODUÇÃOO pulverizador pneumático costal, também conhecido por costal motorizado, foi uma das soluções apresentadas para o controle da ferrugem do cafeeiro. Em vista disso o seu uso foi tentado numa cultura extensiva, para além dos limites da horti-fruticultura onde já era usado há mais tempo.Um problema com que se deparou foi a quantidade ou volume de calda a ser aplicada por unidade de área ou por mil plantas.
