Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar as fronteiras simbólicas que são produzidas a partir de encontros do campo da arte com os campos da moda e da gastronomia. Elegemos como objetos de análise: no caso da moda, a parceria entre a marca de fast fashion Riachuelo e o Museu de Arte de São Paulo em 2017 chamada projeto Moda Masp; no caso da gastronomia, a obra “Restauro” na 32ª Bienal de São Paulo e a exposição “Alimentário” no Museu da Cidade, também em São Paulo. Esses encontros demonstram a articulação nesses campos de um repertório cultural legitimado e valorizado, produzido no campo da arte. É a partir desse repertório, que os agentes do campo da moda e da gastronomia traçam fronteiras simbólicas internas a seus campos, assegurando vantagens em suas disputas. Essas análises nos permitem concluir que: (i) esses encontros não ameaçam a autonomia do campo da arte, uma vez que dependem de seu reforço para que a arte continue sendo fonte de repertório cultural legítimo; (ii) a arte continua sendo importante fonte de capital cultural e distinção, se olharmos como seu repertório é utilizado para produção de fronteiras sociais a partir dos outros campos aqui analisados; (iii) esses encontros não produzem processos de artificação, na medida em que eles dependem da manutenção das fronteiras entre os campos para que haja eficácia simbólica na transferência da carga positiva atribuída ao ‘artista’ a estilistas e chefs.
Este artigo aborda as transformações ocorridas nas últimas décadas nos circuitos criativos a partir das intersecções cada vez mais substanciais entre as empresas e a arte, analisando em específico a relação entre a indústria do luxo e a arte contemporânea materializada no Celine Art Project, da grife francesa Celine, pertencente ao conglomerado LVMH. Com um método cruzado entre a história social e a sociologia da arte, este trabalho pretende demonstrar como tem sido recorrente a absorção de artistas pelas casas de luxo como estratégia para incrementar seu capital cultural. Um fenômeno focado no melhoramento simbólico dos produtos e da experiência de compra, suas consequências ainda podem ser percebidas na criação de codependências entre os artistas emergentes e as corporações.

Neste artigo estudamos a produção de fronteiras simbólicas e sociais valendo-nos das coleções de roupas realizadas entre marcas de luxo e de fast fashion. Elas são divulgadas como democratização do luxo, já que supostamente facilitam o acesso a esses tipos de bens. Nossa análise sobre as colaborações entre a fast fashion Riachuelo e as marcas de luxo Versace e Karl Lagerfeld mostra, contudo, que essas colaborações não embaralham esses universos e seus consumidores. Identificamos uma unificação simbólica do mercado de luxo, a consequente expansão transclasse do reconhecimento de elementos estabelecidos como distintivos e o estabelecimento de hierarquias que mantêm as fronteiras sociais entre as classes.
