Este artigo apresenta propostas de dinâmicas para grandes grupos no ensino de idiomas, na disciplina de língua inglesa das escolas regulares. Parte da hipótese de que as dinâmicas não são utilizadas como recurso motivador e estratégico, principalmente em escolas públicas. Com isso, tem o objetivo de propor atividades que incentivem a inclusão de atividades dinâmicas nas aulas de língua inglesa na escola, que evitem a concentração das aulas nos livros didáticos, exercícios no quadro, vistos no caderno, e assim por diante. A teoria que embasa este estudo é a teoria construtiva que tem como eixo principal as cinco hipóteses de ensino/aprendizado de língua estrangeira desenvolvidas por Krashen (1982). Dentre as causas constatadas para a não utilização de dinâmicas nas aulas de inglês observou-se a falta de recursos e materiais necessários para a elaboração de aulas práticas, que integrem a escola ao mundo externo do aluno. Partimos do princípio de que aprender uma língua estrangeira é adquirir uma competência comunicativa, sociocultural e discursiva em outro idioma, o que significa ir além do conhecimento léxico, gramatical, morfológico e sintático, envolvendo cultura, entendimento de rotinas sociais, costumes da fala e tratamento. De acordo com as novas tendências de ensino, não é possível desenvolver um trabalho que não leve em conta esses aspectos. A metodologia usada é de caráter interpretativista e conta com os instrumentos de análise: entrevistas feitas com professores de escolas públicas e de idiomas, questionários feitos com os alunos e observação de aulas. A partir dos dados coletados, o estudo sugere a utilização de algumas dinâmicas apropriadas à realidade encontrada nas escolas de Tangará da Serra-MT e municípios circunvizinhos. Esta sugestão tem o intuito de integrar as atividades da escola às práticas cotidianas dos alunos.
Considerando as constantes mudanças nas formas de aprender e ensinar, argumentamos que as disciplinas de Prática de Ensino e Estágio dos Cursos de Letras (português/inglês) devem estar atentas às novas demandas das salas de aula/sujeitos. Dessa forma, a promoção do diálogo entre teoria e práticas contemporâneas que desafiam os métodos tradicionais de ensino se faz necessário. Neste artigo, apontamos, a partir de nossa experiência como formadoras de professores de línguas, a distância entre a concepção interacional da língua e a prática de ensino. Tal prática é ainda apresentada e internalizada como mero instrumento, por professores em formação. Constatamos, durante o acompanhamento desses professores, a necessidade do desenvolvimento das competências linguística e pedagógica ao longo de sua formação. Baseando-nos nos pressupostos da linguística aplicada (LEFFA, 2016; PAIVA, 2011), apresentamos a primeira versão de dois planos de aula, a fim de apontar: i) presença/ausência dessas duas competências e ii) a(s) concepção(ões) de língua privilegiadas. Os resultados sugerem que o ensino restrito da ‘forma’ da língua ainda é uma tendência que pode, entre algumas razões, estar ligada à falta da competência linguística; que o domínio das duas competências amplia o escopo de ensino/aprendizagem para além da sala de aula de línguas. Em um mundo conectado, as práticas digitais aliadas às competências propostas neste artigo podem fortalecer os cursos de licenciatura em línguas e, consequentemente, tornar a disciplina de língua inglesa protagonista na escola. Alguns autores que embasam este estudo são Gimenez (2013), Miccoli (2013), Monte Mor (2015), Moita Lopes (2013) e Pennycook (2017).
RESUMO Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a incidência do fenômeno code-switching na interação entre falantes bi/multilíngues, na rede social Facebook. Ao considerar o dinamismo e o caráter multimodal da comunicação, compreendemos que é fundamental que a formação de professores de línguas volte-se às discussões sobre os muitos cenários linguísticos advindos da diversidade social e humana. Entre esses cenários está o ciberespaço, onde tecnologia, língua e cultura estão numa relação dialógica diferente da que acontece no espaço físico. No Facebook, por exemplo, percebemos essa relação nas práticas de code-switching, uma possibilidade na comunicação entre falantes bi/multilíngues que têm a capacidade de mudar o código dependendo do interlocutor, do que querem dizer e do que estão sentindo. A possibilidade de rastreamento da Comunicação Mediada por Computador nos permitiu observar como os sujeitos bi/multilíngues se apropriam do ambiente virtual para interagir com amigos de línguas e culturas diferentes e vivenciar essas línguas e culturas, na exposição de suas identidades por meio do code-switching. Os dados coletados durante quatro meses compreendem postagens e interações assíncronas entre esses falantes com/destinadas a amigos bi/multilíngues e também monolíngues. Os resultados apontam as vantagens da flexibilidade linguística de falantes bi/multilíngues, no trânsito entre culturas em um contexto virtual de interação e a atenção que esses sujeitos despendem a esse contexto e à diversidade de interlocutores. O domínio de mais de uma língua e a familiaridade com a rede social virtual onde aconteceram as interações deram maior liberdade e autonomia para que alternassem línguas e, assim, se expressassem de acordo com suas necessidades, sem obedecer estritamente a regras predeterminadas de uma ou outra língua, ou seja, sentiram-se livres para expor por meio da linguagem as culturas que os habitam, tendo em vista as características do meio virtual que desvincula a presença social da presença física.
Tomando potencialmente inovadoras as oportunidades de Comunicação Mediada por Computador no âmbito da formação de professores de inglês, o objetivo deste artigo é analisar as representações da identidade nacional constituídas em um contexto virtual. Duas estudantes de Letras estabeleceram contato com estrangeiros no Facebook e com eles interagiram em língua inglesa. Utilizou-se a Análise Crítica do Discurso para desvendar a organização linguística e ideológica dos discursos nacionais acionados na transição para o contexto transnacional online. Os resultados sugerem a hibridação de estratégias do discurso de contextos offline com os recursos multimodais dos contextos online. Os sujeitos adotaram estereótipos oriundos de centros geradores das dinâmicas de globalização, tanto em escala regional (sudeste do Brasil) como mundial (os EUA).
