Objetivo: Analisar se a vivência de situações de morte no ambiente hospitalar pode influenciar na saúde mental dos profissionais que atuam na enfermagem, bem como apresentar as dificuldades encontradas e propor a elaboração de estratégias para o enfrentamento do luto. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, de abordagem qualitativa. A busca ocorreu no segundo trimestre de 2022 com artigos produzidos entre 2012 e 2022, e este marco temporal justifica-se pela pesquisa de estudos atuais sobre a temática, nas bases de dados LILACS, BDENF e PubMed/MEDLINE. A pesquisa foi realizada na língua inglesa, com os respectivos descritores: “Bereavement”, “Thanatology”, "Attitude to Death"e "Nursing Care". Resultados: Foram identificados os sentimentos vivenciados pela equipe para alinhar cuidado humanizado ao processo de morte dos pacientes. As emoções mais citadas foram sofrimento, dor, medo, impotência e frustração. Tal situação pode ocasionar vulnerabilidade mental em profissionais e causar implicações na assistência oferecida. Espiritualidade e o autoconhecimento podem ser importantes aliados ao lidar com estas manifestações. Considerações finais: Evidenciou-se a necessidade de trabalhar com educação continuada sobre a temática “morte”, e sua inclusão no processo de formação dos profissionais objetivando o melhor preparo para esse cuidado.
A pandemia de Covid-19 visibilizou ainda mais o cenário da desigualdade social brasileira, destacando o agravamento das situações de precariedade e vulnerabilidade em diferentes regiões e contextos. Este artigo coloca no centro as questões de gênero e as desigualdades socioespaciais vivenciadas por mulheres nordestinas de comunidades tradicionais e da agricultura familiar. A fim de conhecer as dificuldades no acesso ao auxílio emergencial, entrevistamos 74 mulheres que destacaram a mobilidade rural-urbana como entrave ao acesso às políticas sociais, além da exposição ao risco de contaminação pelo coronavírus. Concluímos que o descaso do governo federal com populações pobres, rurais, negras e, sobretudo, mulheres de cidades interioranas, configurou-se sob a égide de uma violência de Estado.
