Identifikasi morfologi sebagai alternatif identifikasi jenis kelamin siput gonggong tanpa merusak cangkang dan viscera. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis kelamin siput gonggong Strombus sp. secara morfologi. Sampel diperoleh dari nelayan pengumpul di pesisir Madung, Tanjungpinang, Indonesia. Sampel dikoleksi pada saat surut terendah, hasil koleksi disimpan dalam wadah ember. Siput gonggong jenis kelamin jantan dan betina dibedakan secara morfologi melalui pengamatan visual terhadap cangkang tanpa pembedaan organ bagian dalam cangkang. Organ reproduksi diketahui dengan cara mengeluarkan keseluruhan daging dengan memecahkan cangkang. Panjang cangkang diukur menggunakan kaliper dengan ketelitian 0,01 mm. Panjang cangkang adalah jarak dari ujung anterior ke ujung posterior cangkang. Rasio jenis kelamin siput gonggong dianalisis dengan metode chi-square. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siput gonggong yang ditemukan adalah jenis Strombus canarium dan Strombus sp. dari total sampel sebanyak 1124 individu. Jenis kelamin siput gonggong dapat ditentukan secara morfologi berdasarkan kemontokan cangkang (lebar dan langsing). Bentuk cangkang lebar menandakan siput gonggong jenis kelamin betina, bentuk cangkang langsing menandakan siput gonggong jenis kelamin jantan. Nisbah kelamin siput gonggong jenis S. canarium dan Strombus sp. jantan dan betina dalam rasio berbeda.
This study utilized beruas laut plant (Scaevola taccada) as a research material. The purpose of this study was to determine the antioxidant activity of S. taccada crude extract, especially on leaves and fruit extract. The highest levels of protein was found in the Scaevola taccada leaf (8.806%), the highest fat was found in the leaf (1.822%), the highest water was found in leaf (11.376%), the highest ash content was found in the leaf (14,78%) and the highest carbohydrates content was found in fruit (82.52%). Phytochemical analysis detected flavonoids, tannins, and steroid in the (S. taccada). Antioxidant analysis obtained IC50 values of chloroform leaf extract was 0.1944, methanol leaf extract was 0.1034, chloroform fruit extract was 0.464, and IC50 values of methanol fruit extract was 0.653.

Kerang ini juga memiliki banyak khasiat dan manfaat, maka dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian pengaruh ekstrak air dari kerang lamis terhadap profil kimia darah tikus Sprague Dawley dengan metode (OECD 413: 2009). Hasil pengamatan didapatkan bahwa pertumbuhan, konsumsi pakan, bobot hati dan ginjal dalam kondisi normal. Kadar urea, kreatinin, kolesterol antara tikus kontrol dengan perlakuan A/0.1 dan A/1 tidak berbeda nyata (p>0,05), sedangkan kadar bilirubun dan albumin antara tikus kontrol dengan perlakuan A/0.1 dan A/1 memberikan hasil yang berbeda nyata (p<0,05), akan tetapi semua parameter kimia darah yang diuji masih dalam kategori normal. Based on observations obtained growth, feed intake, weight of liver and kidney in normal conditions. Levels of urea, creatinine, cholesterol between the control mice treated with A/0.1 and A/1 were not significantly different (p> 0.05) while the levels of bilirubin and albumin between control mice treated with A/0.1 and A/1 results significantly different (p<0.05), but all blood chemistry parameters tested is still in the normal category.
Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam duatahap: persiapan bahan baku Holothuriascabradan Holothuriaatra. dan formulasi produk minuman fungsional.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalahmengetahui hasil analisis senyawa bioaktif saponin dan antioksidan pada minuman fungsional H.scabradan H.atra.Hasil dari penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa formulasi minuman fungsional H.scabradan H.atraterbaikberdasarkan uji organoleptik adalah minuman fungsionaldengan formulasi MFKT3 dengan konsentrasi Holothuriascabradan H.atra30%, rosela 20%, jahe 10%, serai 10%, jeruk kalamansi 10%, gula 20%. Hasil dari analisis minuman fungsional Holothuriascabradan H.atrapada komponen gizi kadar air sebesar 89,17% dan 89,16%, kadar abu 5,19% dan 1,93%, kadar protein 5,06% dan 7,74%, kadar lemak 0,29% dan 0,29%, kadar karbohidrat 0,27% dan 0,87%.Aktivitas antioksidan yang terdapat dalam minuman fungsional H.scabradan H.atrasangat lemah, karena nilaiIC50-nya lebih besar dari 0,20 mg/ml atau 200 ppm yaitu 1621ppm.Saponindalam ektrak minuman fungsional teridentifikasi dengan terbentuknya buih atau busa.
Mosquito repellent lotions generally use ingredients such as diethyltoluamide (DEET). DEET has been mixed by the manufacture of commercial mosquito repellent lotions and used by consumers without regard to the consequences if it is continuing used. Though many natural plants, especially marine plants can also provide the same benefits as a mosquito repellent. Therefore, in this study the aim was to make a lotion based on seaweed (Sargassum polycystum) and mangrove leaves (Rhizophora apiculata) as a mosquito repellent. The treatments in this study were 30% seaweed (L1), 30% mangrove leaf (L2), 15% seaweed, and 15% mangrove leaf (L3), and control (L0). The results showed that the effectiveness of the protective vover of anti-mosquito lotion S. polycystum (L1) was able to protect for 2 hours, (L2) mangrove leaf lotion was able to protect for 4 hours and S. polycycstum lotion and mangrove leaf R. apiculata (L3) were able to protect for 3 hours
Scaevola taccada is a coastal plant. This plant lives in gravel sandy soil and can prevent erosion that occurs on the beach. In the Riau Islands, it is still very rare, not even a few do not know the benefits of this plant, especially the fruit. The study aimed to determine the antioxidant activity of young, old, and mixed fruit extracts of S. taccada using the DPPH method which was stated to be IC50. The research methods include extraction, phytochemical test, antioxidant test and vitamin C test. The yield of pulp and water extract of young fruit was 55% and 41.4%, pulp and water extract of old fruit was 33.33% and 42.9%, respectively. Phytochemical bioactive analysis was found to be positive for saponin parameters, indicated by the presence of stable foam for 30 minutes. Antioxidant activity using DPPH method obtained IC50 19,524 young fruit extract, IC50 50,664 old fruit extract, and IC50 35.518 mixed fruit. Analysis of Vitamin C in old S. taccada fruit yielded 5.28 mg, young fruit yielded 20.24 mg, and mixed fruit yielded 35.20 mg. The conclusion of this study is the presence of antioxidants and vitamin C in Scaevola taccada fruit.
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh suhu terhadap tingkat kesukaan panelis hasil flavor pasta. Penelitian ini bersifat experimental laboratories dengan rancangan acak lengkap satu faktor, yaituair limbah rebusan ikan tamban diberi pelakuan suhu yang berbeda dengan suhu 70°C,75°C,80°C,85°C,90 °C. Kemudian di analisis menggunakan SPSS 25 untuk memperoleh perlakuan terbaik. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa falvor pasta yang diberikan perlakuan berbeda memberikan perbedaan yang nyata (𝜌<0,05%) terhadap tingkat kesukaan panelis. Berdasarkan hasil uji analisis kimia yaitu diperoleh kandungan protein 0,76%, kadar air 62,44%, kadar abu 13,42%, karbohidrat 22,94%. sedangkan untuk asam amino yang diperoleh dengan nilai tertinggi yaitu Tirosin 0,18%, nilai terendah yaitu Serin 0,5% pada flavor pasta terbaik dengan kode F3. Bahan baku yang digunakan dalam pembuatan flavor ini juga dilakukan uji logam berat namun tidak terdeteksi.
