ABSTRACTThis study analyzed the variables of occupational stress and the dimensions of the burnout syndrome in professionals of the department of product engineering of an industry of Minas Gerais. The case-study research was characterized as descriptive and quantitative. Data from the 46 questionnaires were treated using univariate and bivariate statistics. For burnout syndrome, the overall result showed that the respondents did not suffer from the disease, although the professional achievement dimension had a high score, pointing to the tendency of a negative self-assessment due to the difficulty in producing positive results.
