Bahl and Tuteja (1991) have suggested an exponential ratio type estimator to estimate finite population mean. In this paper some modified exponential ratio type estimators of finite population mean under simple random sampling without replacement have been proposed following Searls (1964), Srivastava (1974) and Upadhyaya and Srivastava (1976a and 1976b). The efficiencies of these estimators are compared with exponential ratio type estimator as regard to bias and mean square error both theoretically and empirically.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
