Tumores dermóides e epidermóides do crânio são raros. Sua localização intradiplóica é mais rara ainda, sendo encontrados nas regiões supra-orbitária, temporal anterior e também, do vertex 2,3,7,.8,0. o cisto dermóide é tumor constituído de tecidos derivados do ecto e mesoderma, localizando-se preferencialmente nas linhas de fechamento das fissuras embrionárias primitivas. Costuma situar-se superficialmente sob as camadas cutâneas e subcutâneas mas, pode localizar-se em cavidades orgânicas. Geralmente situa-se na linha mediana na região sacrococcígea, podendo contudo situar-se nas faces laterais do pescoço, cauda dos supercílios, dueto tireoglosso e outros locais 2 » 5 » 7 » 8 . Os tumores dermóides diferem da variedade epidermóide pela presença adicional de elementos mesodérmicos e glândulas sebáceas, sudor ípar as e folículos piloses. O cisto dermóide contém freqüentemente cabelos e tem aparência mais amarelada devido a presença de secreções sebáceas 3 .Constitui propósito deste registro apresentar caso de cisto dermóide intradiplóico.OBSERVAÇÃO M.C.B., paciente branca, registro 30708, natural e procedente de Londrina, com 1 ano e 9 meses de idade, trazida para consulta em março de 1977, com queixa de crises convulsivas há cerca de três meses, do tipo focai à direita. Tendo procurado facultativo, realizou eletrencefalograma (EEG) que mostrou atividade irritativa difusa. Foi medicada com barbitúricos em baixas doses. As crises voltaram a se repetir por mais duas vezes apesar de estar a medicação sendo seguida de acordo com a orientação inicial. Como antecedentes apresentava: história de icterícia neonatal por incompatibilidade sangüínea materno-fetal; nasceu de parto normal a termo, sendo a última filha de uma prole de 4; o desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor foi normal. Exame neurológico -Apresentou apenas assimetria reflexa profunda em membros inferiores (reflexos vivos à direita).Exames
