Indexing terms: Cyclic Redundancy Check, Network processing __________________________________________________________________________ An algorithm for software or hardware implementation is presented, allowing fast computation of Cyclic Redundancy Checks with arbitrary polynomials and a high flexibility, such as updating of checksums after modifying data block parts with a known old checksum.
For the IBM-ASTRON DOME µServer project, we are currently building two types of memory DIMM-like form factor compute node boards. The first is based on a 4 core 2.2 GHz SoC and the second on a 12 core / 24 thread 1.8 GHz SoC. Both employ the 64-bit Power instruction set. Our innovative hot-water based cooling infrastructure also supplies the electrical power to our compute node board. We show initial performance results and conclude with the key lessons we have learnt and an outlook on our next activities.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
