Las identidades visuales evolucionan para adaptarse a nuevos formatos y soportes tecnológicos. Sus formas de comunicar han evolucionado, abandonando las estructuras estables e invariables del segundo milenio para convertirse en herramientas versátiles y expresivas. Las marcas se hacen dinámicas y flexibles, vectoriales y adaptativas. Los logos se convierten en manifestación de los cambios de patrones y de los medios comunicativos, respondiendo a las exigencias de expresar diversidad. Las instituciones culturales encuentran en esta tendencia la respuesta a sus requisitos de comunicar sus variados contenidos a través de dispositivos móviles y de proponer de forma virtual su identidad visual de marca sin perder atractivo. Los espacios museísticos son proclives a esta tipología de la identidad visual corporativa (IVC), capaz de abarcar los cambios de estructura y de temas que estos ofrecen por naturaleza. Desde hace décadas los museos han ido adoptando masivamente logos líquidos, marcas visuales flexibles y adaptativas. Las crecientes exigencias de expresividad y de comunicación multiplataforma se conjugan, gracias a estas estructuras metamórficas, con sus propias ambiciones de juego y diversión visual. El estudio se justifica debido al creciente auge de las identidades visuales dinámicas (IVCD), vinculadas a la evolución tecnológica y a la consecuente transformación de los hábitos de consumo de productos culturales; pretende además generar un mayor conocimiento de los principios en los que se rige su funcionamiento. Se comportan según reglas que les permite mantener sus inapelables características de visibilidad y originalidad que les garantizan pregnancia y consenso. Sus connotaciones acercan los públicos a procesos lúdicos propensos a la didáctica y a su involucración en las imperantes estrategias enfocadas a las narrativas transmedia. Analizamos cómo las identidades visuales de espacios museísticos actúan ejemplarmente en connotaciones artísticas. Se escoge entre una muestra de marcas gráficas de museos internacionales para ofrecer una taxonomía de su funcionamiento contemporáneo.
