A doença do coronavírus 2019 afetou todos os estados da região Nordeste no tocante à mortalidade, com destaque para os estados de Sergipe, Ceará e Pernambuco que detiveram as maiores taxas brutas de mortalidade.

Coronavirus 2019 disease affected all states in the Northeast region in terms of mortality, with the states of Sergipe, Ceará and Pernambuco having the highest crude mortality rates.
O câncer de mama é um grave problema de saúde pública no mundo. Geralmente acometendo mulheres, o câncer de mama é uma doença de origem multifatorial, representando mundialmente uma das principais causas de morte por câncer. No Brasil, o câncer de mama é a principal causa de morte por câncer. Além disso, o diagnóstico, tratamento e profilaxia não crescem no mesmo ritmo que o desenvolvimento de novos casos na população. Sendo assim, foi objetivo determinar e analisar as taxas de mortalidade por câncer de mama no Brasil por ano, bem como por região do país, entre 2001 e 2020. Trata-se de um estudo realizado a partir da coleta de dados epidemiológicos referentes ao número de óbitos no Brasil, bem como de dados demográficos do país de suas regiões geográficas em plataformas especializadas, a fim de determinar as taxas brutas de mortalidade por 100.000 habitantes, para anos de notificação, bem como região brasileira onde foram notificados. A análise das taxas indicou maior mortalidade para o ano de 2019 (9,470) e 2020 (9,343), bem como para as regiões Sul (171,684) e Sudeste (170,687). Com bases nos dados, julga-se essencial o aprimoramento das políticas públicas em saúde para ampliar o alcance das informações sobre a doença, bem como para potencializar a oferta dos serviços de saúde essenciais para a profilaxia, diagnóstico precoce e tratamento, a fim de minimizar a mortalidade por câncer de mama no Brasil, sobretudo nas localidades mais afetadas.
