ABSTRAK Kima (giant clams) merupakan salah satu hewan laut yang dilindungi di seluruh dunia termasuk di Indonesia. Penetapan tersebut berdasarkan kenyataan bahwa populasi kima di alam sudah sangat menurun terutama disebabkan pemanfaatan manusia. Melihat kondisi kritis tersebut, perlu dilakukan penelitian dasar tentang kelimpahan dan kepadatan kima dalam upaya konservasi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan kelimpahan dan kepadatan terhadap parameter kualitas perairan di Kepulauan Spermonde. Lokasi penelitian hanya pada zona III dan IV di Kepulauan Spermonde. Metode penelitian menggunakan belt transect/sweept area pada dua stratifikasi yakni reff flat dan reef slope. Analisis data menggunakan formula Krebs (1978) dengan bantuan Software Microsoft Office Excel 2013 yang dapat memberikan gambaran kelimpahan dan kepadatan serta kualitas perairan antar zona. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kelimpahan zona III dan zona IV adalah berturut-turut sebesar 75,5 dan 48,8 ind. Kepadatan zona III dan zona IV adalah berturut-turut sebesar 30,2 dan 19,4 ind/m 2. Jadi, baik kelimpahan maupun kepadatan kima zona III lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan zona IV. Kelimpahan dan kepadatan tertinggi adalah dari jenis T. crocea. Sementara itu jenis-jenis lainnya yang diperoleh di lokasi adalah T. squamosa, T. maxima, T. derasa dan H. hippopus. Kelimpahan dan kepadatan kima dipengaruhi oleh nilai kualitas perairan yang mendukung kehidupan kima. Kata Kunci: Kelimpahan, kepadatan, kima (Tridacnidae), dan Kepulauan Spermondesp I. PENDAHULUAN 1.1. Latar Belakang Kima termasuk dalam kelas Bivalvia, suatu kelompok hewan bertubuh lunak yang dilindungi sepasang cangkang bertangkup. Bernapas dengan insang yang bentuknya seperti lembaran yang berlapis-lapis. Alat gerak berupa kaki perut yang termodifikasi untuk menggali pasir atau dasar perairan. Beberapa jenis, melekatkan diri pada substrat berbatu dengan semacam rambut atau organ yang disebut byssus (Niartiningsih, 2007b). Kerang raksasa (Bivalvia: Tridacnidae), salah satu kelompok dari populasi moluska yang terbesar di dunia, menghuni terumbu karang dangkal di wilayah Indo-Pasifik (Rosewater, 1965). Mereka memperoleh gizi dari saringan makanan (Klumpp et al., 1992), serta melalui hubungan simbiotik dengan ganggang dinoflagellata atau yang dikenal sebagai zooxanthella (Yonge, 1936, 1975 dalam Neo, 2009). AbstrakKima adalah salah satu kerang dengan bentuk dan ciri yang paling unik di antara semua jenis kerang. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan kualitas perairan terhadap kelimpahan kima (tridacnidae) di Kepulauan Spermonde. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan observatif dengan metode deskriptif pada tiga mintakat terumbu karang secara vertikal, yakni : zona rataan terumbu, lereng terumbu dan dasar terumbu. Lokasi penelitian pada zona II, III dan IV di Kepulauan Spermonde. Analisis data menggunakan analisis korelasi. Analisis ini dapat menunjukkan tingkat keeratan hubungan antar variabel. Data diolah menggunakan bantuan Software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara kualitas perairan (biologi, fisika dan kimia) dengan tingkat kelimpahan kima. Parameter yang paling berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap kelimpahan kima adalah kedalaman, salinitas dan kecerahan. Tingkat signifikansi korelasinya berada di bawah 0,05. Sementara parameter kecepatan arus, oksigen terlarut, pH, nitrat, klorofil, fosfat dan suhu tingkat signifikansi korelasi berada di atas 0,05. Parameter tersebut tetap memiliki pengaruh terhadap kelimpahan kima meskipun secara tidak langsung karena digunakan untuk proses respirasi, metabolisme, pertukaran dan pengangkutan unsur zat hara, transpor sedimen, laju pertumbuhan kima, reproduksi, dan kesuburan perairan. Disimpulkan bahwa kelimpahan kima dipengaruhi oleh kualitas perairan secara langsung dan tidak langsung.Kata kunci : Kima (Tridacnidae), kelimpahan, kualitas perairan dan Kepulauan Spermonde. Efforts to protect giant clams from extinction one of them through conservation, which set a region as a restocking area. The research aimed to analyze the suitability environments with the density giant clams in the aquatic. The research conducted in September 2013-January 2014. The research site was determined by purposive sampling of middle inner zone = MIZ, middle outer zone = MOZ, and outer zone = OZ in the aquatic of Spermonde Archipelago. The research conducted was using observation method of biology, physics, and chemistry parameters of aquatic at mintakat reef flats, reef slope and reef base. Data analysis of location suitability of restocking giant clams using WSM method (and correlation analysis of giant clams density with water quality, then integrated with ALOS Avnir-2 image. The result research shows the density giant clams influenced by the physical environment parameters, mainly salinity, brightness and depth. The suitability location of restocking giant clams for class Very suitable in P. Langkadea and P. Pala (MOZ), P. Cangke (OZ), P. Tambakulu and P. Kondongbali (OZ) on mintakat reef flats. Class Very suitability on reef slope in P. Kondongbali and P. Kapoposang (OZ). Class accordance with the reef flats, there are P. Podang Podang Lompo (MOZ), P. Sarappo Keke (OZ) and P. Kapoposang (OZ). Class Appropriate to reef slope mintakat in P. Langkadea (MOZ) and P. Sarappo Keke (OZ). Determination of giant clams restocking area in nature needs considers the location suitability, primarily the quality of aquatic physics. Nomei fish (Harpadon nehereus) is one of the fish that has important economic value in the waters of Tarakan. This species is caught in waters with trawl fishing gear. In this study, H. nehereus fecundity is described based on 1100 female specimens captured in Tarakan waters from November 2016 to October 2017. The spawning season is predicted to occur twice a year, namely December-February and June-August, and reaches peaks in February and June. The average fecundity was 38,731 ± 7,757. The average sex ratio (female / male) was 0.94.
Mangrove ecosystem is a habitat of Molluscs (Gastropoda and Bivalvia). This ecosystem is always influenced by environmental factors. This study aims to determine the influence of environmental factors on the distribution patterns Molluscs of natural mangrove ecosystems in Pannikiang Island, Barru Regency and rehabilitation mangrove ecosystem in Tongke-tongke village, Sinjai regency. This research uses the quantitative method. Environmental factors measured were temperature and salinity of the water, as well as carbon and nitrogen content of sediment. Samples of Molluscs (Gastropoda and Bivalves) and sediments were taken randomly. The observations of the Molluscan community include the composition of Mollusc species (Gastropoda and Bivalvia) and dispersal patterns. Data were analyzed by using multiple linear regression. The results showed that the distribution pattern of Molluscs (Gastropoda and Bivalvia) at both sites was not significantly different and the temperature, salinity, carbon, and nitrogen sediments also did not affect the Mollusk distribution pattern in both sites. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh faktor lingkungan terhadap pola distribusi pada ekosistem mangrove alami di Pulau Pannikiang, Kabupaten Barru dan ekosistem mangrove hasil rehabilitasi di Desa Tongke-tongke, Kabupaten Sinjai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Faktor lingkungan yang diukur adalah suhu dan salinita air, serta kandungan karbon dan nitrogen sedimen. Sampel Moluska (Gastropoda dan Bivalvia) dan sedimen diambil secara acak. Pengamatan komunitas Moluska meliputi komposisi jenis Moluska (Gastropoda dan Bivalvia) dan pola penyebaran. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pola distribusi Moluska (Gastropoda dan Bivalvia) pada kedua lokasi tidak berbeda nyata dan suhu, salinitas, karbon, dan nitrogen sedimen juga tidak mempengaruhi pola distribusi Moluska di kedua lokasi penelitian.
