A evasão dos alunos é um problema nos cursos de ciênias exatas e engenharias, não só no Brasil, mas em diversos países ao redor do mundo. Este fato pode estar relacionado as metodologias de ensino e o ambiente nas matérias introdutórias serem vistos como ineficientes e desmotivadores pelos estudantes. As metodologias ativas de ensino e, entre elas, a Aprendizagem Baseada em Problemas (PBL), têm sido propostas como forma de reduzir essa desmotivação e evasão nos cursos de Engenharia. O presente artigo busca compreender por meio de um questionário de avaliação Likert a percepção pessoal de estudantes de engenharia após a aplicação dessa metodologia em uma aula a fim de confirmar sua viabilidade como ferramenta motivacional.
Na antiguidade observou-se que mover um objeto com o mínimo esforço requeria o uso de trilhas de cilindros, geralmente de madeira, utilizadas para arrastar o objeto ao invés do simples deslizamento do mesmo ao longo superfície. No século XV, Da Vinci desenvolvera mancais de rolamento em madeira e bronze. Atualmente, o setor automobilístico é o responsável pela maior parte da utilização dos rolamentos. Os aços mais utilizados na fabricação de rolamentos são os SAE 52100, cujo elevado teor de carbono e cromo confere importantes propriedades mecânicas e apresenta excelente resposta a tratamentos térmicos. A fabricação dos aços para rolamentos ocorre em algumas etapas: ajuste da composição, solidificação, laminação, esferoidização e produção das bobinas. Neste trabalho foram analisadas as propriedades mecânicas e microestruturais em diferentes etapas de produção do aço SAE 52100. As análises foram realizadas em três etapas: nas barras após ajuste da composição (conforme retirado da aciaria), após esferoidização e no produto acabado (rolamento temperado). Para cada condição foram realizadas análises químicas, metalográficas, ensaios de tração e microdureza. Assim, caracterizou-se o material e a adequação do mesmo ao processo, considerando todas as etapas de produção até o produto final.
Dados estatísticos mostram que mais de um bilhão de pessoas no mundo apresentam algum tipo de deficiência. Dentre esse total da população de pessoas, cerca de 10,0% necessita de cadeira de rodas. Devido ao crescimento do número de Pessoas com Deficiência, proporcionalmente ocorre o aumento de pessoas que necessitam da cadeira de rodas para sua mobilidade, ocorrendo uma carência de serviços para o conserto desta Tecnologia Assistiva. O objetivo deste artigo é aplicar o modelo SeTA para desenvolver um serviço de conserto de cadeira de rodas, evitando o descarte de cadeiras passíveis de serem reparadas e a troca frequente do principal meio de locomoção da pessoa com deficiência física. Como metodologia foi utilizado o modelo para o desenvolvimento de Serviços de Tecnologia Assistiva (SeTA), que considera os aspectos desde o levantamento de necessidades específicas dos usuários, passando por todas as etapas de projeto para transformação destas necessidades em requisitos de projeto, culminando com o projeto detalhado do serviço. Este modelo se apresenta em níveis de detalhamento de macrofases, fases, atividades e tarefas e possui materiais de apoio para o desenvolvimento. A pesquisa resultou em um serviço para o atendimento das necessidades apresentadas pelos usuários de cadeira de rodas durante as entrevistas, utilizando métodos para busca de soluções como serviços locais de eletrônica, mecânica e têxtil, associação para pessoas com deficiência, prefeitura local e trabalhadores voluntários. O modelo mostrou-se passível de ser aplicado no desenvolvimento de outros tipos de serviços para pessoas com deficiência.
