A pandemia da COVID-19 causada pelo vírus SARS-CoV-2 caracteriza-se por ser uma síndrome respiratória de rápida contaminação. Com o intuito de evitar a rápida proliferação do vírus e o agravamento da doença, a população aumentou o consumo de medicamentos por automedicação. O objetivo do presente estudo é apresentar uma revisão sistemática de literatura sobre a prática da automedicação durante o período da pandemia da COVID-19, para a qual foram considerados apenas os artigos que atenderam aos critérios de seleção e contribuíram para responder os objetivos propostos. Para a realização da presente pesquisa foi utilizado análise bibliográfica e documental, ou seja, os documentos e artigos que estão disponíveis em bases de pesquisas como Google Scholar, Online Medical Literature Analyses and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SCIELO) e a plataforma Medical Publications (PUBMED). A pandemia trouxe muitos questionamentos e várias possibilidades de terapia, porém, inicialmente não houve uma determinação precisa sobre um tratamento, desta forma, a população receosa iniciou um comportamento de automedicação. Os estudos evidenciaram que a prática da automedicação cresceu entre a população durante a pandemia como forma de prevenir do contágio do vírus ou curar a patologia.
A dislipidemia é caracterizada como um distúrbio que causa alteração nos níveis séricos de lipídios do organismo (aumento plasmático de triglicerídeos, LDL-c e colesterol ou redução nos níveis de HDL-c), que é um dos fatores responsáveis por aumentar o risco cardiovascular. Diante disso, a presente revisão de literatura teve como objetivo avaliar a correlação entre a ocorrência de dislipidemias mistas e o risco de evolução para doenças cardiovasculares em idosos, bem como as suas principais causas comportamentais. A busca foi feita em bases científicas, como SciELO, PubMed, Google Scholar e Lilacs. Do total de artigos encontrados (585.558 artigos), foram selecionados 23 para compor esta revisão de literatura. Conclui-se que a dislipidemia mista deixa os idosos mais propensos a apresentarem eventos cardiovasculares, ou seja, existe relação entre esses dois fatores, os quais são causados principalmente pelos maus hábitos de vida, sendo eles obesidade, sedentarismo, alimentação inadequada, tabagismo e ingestão de bebidas alcoólicas. Além disso, a doença está associada principalmente ao gênero feminino.
Introdução: Os estudantes fazem uso excessivo de bebidas energéticas com o propósito de diminuir a fadiga durante suas atividades, principalmente as acadêmicas, podendo gerar consequências indesejadas à saúde, como diabetes e hipertensão. Objetivo: Analisar os malefícios do uso excessivo de bebidas energéticas entre estudantes. Materiais e Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão de literatura. Foram incluídos artigos selecionados das bases de dados Pubmed, Google Acadêmico e Scielo, no período de março de 1997 a fevereiro de 2021. Para a pesquisa, foram utilizados os termos: “Energy drink”, “Students”, “Time”, de acordo com os descritores padronizados pelos Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS) combinados entre si por operadores booleanos. Após os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, foram selecionados 23 artigos para revisão. Resultados e Discussão: Dos 23 artigos utilizados no estudo, 2 evidenciaram que a comercialização de bebidas energéticas carece de informações sobre a composição dos energéticos, suas concentrações e efeitos adversos; 9 mostraram que o principal expoente maléfico é a alta concentração de cafeína, que pode ocasionar episódios de taquicardia, hipertensão, sudorese, ansiedade, vômitos, dependência, convulsões e morte súbita; 3 relacionaram os grandes níveis de açúcar na bebida com problemas de saúde, especialmente quando se leva em conta a frequência de ingestão, podendo contribuir para agravar os índices das epidemias já instaladas, como diabetes e obesidade. Conclusão: O uso excessivo de bebidas energéticas pode gerar diversos malefícios na saúde dos estudantes, a longo e curto prazo, mostrando uma necessidade de informar a população quanto aos riscos do consumo desenfreado dessas bebidas.
