O estudo comparou a autoeficácia acadêmica, as habilidades sociais e o clima escolar de estudantes do final do Ensino Fundamental, considerando diferenças por sexo e a influência do histórico de reprovação escolar, a partir da Teoria Social Cognitiva. Participaram 491 alunos (idade de 11 a 16 anos), selecionados por conveniência, de ambos os sexos, que frequentavam os três últimos anos do Ensino Fundamental de escolas públicas e particulares de uma cidade do Estado de Minas Gerais. Os participantes responderam ao Inventário de Habilidades Sociais para Adolescentes, ao Children’s Self-Efficacy Scale, ao Questionário de Clima Escolar e ao Questionário com informações demográficas. Os resultados indicaram que as meninas apresentaram mais autoeficácia para atividades extracurriculares/lazer e social e mais empatia e assertividade do que os meninos. Os alunos apresentaram mais habilidades sociais de abordagem social/sexual e perceberam mais o clima escolar acerca do relacionamento entre estudantes. Estudantes com histórico de reprovação escolar tiveram menor autoeficácia e clima escolar positivo. Os dados evidenciaram as influências dos papéis de gênero e da reprovação escolar sobre as relações interpessoais e o desempenho escolar dos estudantes ao final do Ensino Fundamental, destacando a necessidade de se fomentar programas de intervenção com alunos e professores.
Resumo O objetivo do estudo foi testar um modelo de predição para as crenças de autoeficácia de jovens face aos papéis de adulto, identificando seus recursos e de seus contextos. Participaram 434 jovens de ambos os sexos (idade entre 18 e 29 anos), provenientes majoritariamente do estado do Rio de Janeiro. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: Escala de Autoeficácia face aos Papéis de Adulto; Inventário de Habilidades Sociais; Índice de Solidariedade Intergeracional; Inventário de Dimensões da Adultez Emergente; Critério de Classificação Econômica Brasil. Resultados indicaram que as variáveis sexo, foco em si, instabilidade, valores familiarese habilidades sociais de expressão de sentimentos positivospredisseram as crenças de autoeficácia dos jovens.São discutidas as implicações desses resultados para pesquisas de avaliação e intervenção.
Durante o ensino médio, os estudantes podem enfrentar as primeiras escolhas relacionadas ao seu futuro profissional. O estudo investigou em que medida o sexo, as habilidades sociais e as expectativas de futuro predizem a autoeficácia para a escolha profissional de estudantes do ensino médio. Participaram 436 alunos (M = 16,23 anos, DP = 1,09), de ambos os sexos, de escolas públicas e privadas do estado do Rio de Janeiro. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: Escala de Autoeficácia para a Escolha Profissional; Escala de Expectativas Futuras; Inventário de Habilidades Sociais para Adolescentes; e Questionário de Dados Socioeconômicos. As habilidades sociais de desenvoltura social e abordagem afetiva, as expectativas de futuro em relação ao trabalho e à educação e o sexo feminino explicaram 26% da variabilidade da autoeficácia para a escolha profissional dos estudantes. Os dados da pesquisa poderão contribuir para o planejamento de futuros programas de intervenção com os alunos, seus familiares e professores.
