RESUMO -O presente estudo tem como objetivo descrever os indicadores antropométricos pela análise fatorial em idosas hipertensas da Universidade da Maturidade do Amapá. Foi conduzido um estudo transversal realizado em uma amostra de 30 idosas (60 a 79 anos) hipertensas (149 ± 11,8 mmHg e 99 ± 12,7 mmHg) residentes em Macapá, AP. Objetivou-se estimar a prevalência de inatividade física em adolescentes e analisar sua associação com variáveis socioculturais. A amostra foi constituída por 1.060 adolescentes. A inatividade física foi mensurada com o IPAQ versão curta e as informações socioculturais analisadas foram obtidas através de uma entrevista. Os resultados indicam que 69,5% dos adolescentes de ambos os sexos foram classificados como inativos fisicamente. As variáveis associadas à inatividade física foram o local de nascimento do pai, morar apenas com a mãe, não ser estimulado pelo professor e não consumir alimentos saudáveis. Conclui-se que a prevalência de inatividade física em adolescentes foi elevada e parecem sofrer influência dos fatores socioculturais.
