O Exame de Suficiência é definido pelo Conselho Federal de Contabilidade (CFC) como prova de equalização destinada a comprovar a obtenção de conhecimentos médios, consoante aos conteúdos programáticos desenvolvidos nos cursos de bacharelado em Ciências Contábeis. Considerando esse contexto, este artigo objetiva identificar as percepções dos alunos sobre a realização do exame de suficiência. O estudo classifica-se em pesquisa exploratório-descritiva, dispondo de coleta de dados realizada por meio de um questionário aplicado pessoalmente pelos pesquisadores, contando com a participação de 188 alunos de graduação em Ciências Contábeis (cerca de 58,75% da população), de uma universidade pública do Estado de Mato Grosso, no ano de 2019. Os dados foram tratados com as seguintes técnicas estatísticas: estatística descritiva (média, mediana, frequência, máximo, mínimo e soma) e análise fatorial. Os resultados da pesquisa indicam que a importância e necessidade de aplicação do exame de suficiência para a profissão contábil é considerada a mais valorizada pelos discentes. Na análise fatorial, ficou evidente que valorização profissional tem maior peso nas percepções dos alunos (88,15%), seguido do ambiente acadêmico com 6,39%. Conclui-se que o Exame de Suficiência, na percepção dos alunos, é um instrumento que valoriza a profissão contábil, entretanto é necessário que os docentes discutam mais pontualmente sobre essa temática em sala de aula.
O objetivo desse artigo é estudar os efeitos de sentidos produzidos sobre o processo de convergência das regras contábeis brasileiras aos padrões internacionais. O dispositivo teórico-analítico está filiado à Análise do Discurso de linha francesa proposta por Michel Pêcheux, com o objetivo de propor um deslocamento na compreensão do discurso institucional do Estado, a fim de fugir das evidências da interpretação, isto é, compreender não o que o texto diz, mas os sentidos que este produz. O corpus discursivo utilizado para a análise foi construído a partir do Projeto de Lei no 121/2007 que deu origem a promulgação da Lei no 11.638/2007. No interior dessa reflexão, o estudo conclui que a inscrição ideológica da convergência produz sentidos que instauram uma certeza de segurança e estabilidade, mas que, de outro modo, faz significar o controle, a adaptação, estar em conformidade, visto que convergir apresenta uma carga semântica ligada ao sentido de estar junto, efeito da ideologia.
Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar as características das publicações referentes à avaliação de desempenho no setor público, publicadas nos eventos da área contábil qualificadas pela Capes com conceito “E1” (Congresso USP de Controladoria e Contabilidade – CCC-USP, Congresso Brasileiro de Custos - CBC, Encontro da Associação Nacional de Pós – Graduação e Pesquisa em Administração – ENANPAD, e Associação Nacional dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Contábeis – ANPCONT). A metodologia adotada constitui-se de pesquisa bibliográfica e de análise de conteúdo. Foram analisados os artigos publicados nas edições de 2004 a 2011 do CCC-USP, as edições de 2002 a 2011 do ENANPAD, as edições de 2001 a 2010 do CBC, e as edições de 2007 a 2011 da ANPCONT. Os resultados da pesquisa demonstram que a caracterização da natureza e utilidade da avaliação de desempenho no setor público como uma prática que viabilize maior eficiência e eficácia na execução das atividades de apoio é um tema pouco presente nos artigos dos congressos analisados. Outra importante constatação é a de que os artigos analisados utilizam como metodologia básica para o desenvolvimento dos trabalhos o estudo de caso e a pesquisa bibliográfica. O estudo conclui que as publicações encontradas são consideradas um número pequeno e não apresentam relevância para uma análise crítica do tema de modo que oferece hipóteses mais significativas para a evolução e aperfeiçoamento dessa prática de gestão.
Este estudo examinou as publicações científicas na base de dados da Web of Science sobre voluntary disclosure. A metodologia adotada constituiu-se de pesquisa documental e de análise bibliométrica. Foram examinados artigos publicados no período de 2009 a 2018 na referida base de dados. Dentre os principais resultados podem ser mencionados: a) há muitas publicações sobre o tema, principalmente pelo indicativo de seu crescimento durante o período analisado; b) Estados Unidos têm o domínio do conhecimento científico na temática examinada; c) a instituição onde mais se pesquisa sobre o tema é a Universidade Estadual da Flórida; d) Hussainey K é o autor mais prolífico nos estudos sobre essa temática; e) o periódico que tem maior número de publicações é The Accounting Review; f) a área de pesquisa com maior destaque é de finanças empresariais e g) a agência de financiamento com maior incidência é a Fundação Nacional de Ciências Naturais da China. Por fim, o estudo contribui para a identificação da evolução quantitativa e qualitativa da pesquisa em voluntary disclosure.
Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar as características das publicações sobre o método de custeio Activity-Based Costing - ABC, publicadas nos periódicos nacionais em contabilidade. A metodologia adotada constitui-se de pesquisa bibliográfica e de análise conteúdo. Foram analisados os artigos publicados nas edições de 2011 a 2020 dos periódicos de contabilidade qualificados pela CAPES como A2 e B1. Durante as análises, foi possível observar os autores mais citados, as obras mais referenciadas, a quantidade de autores por artigo, a formação acadêmica dos autores e os métodos de pesquisa mais utilizados nos trabalhos. Os resultados obtidos revelam que não há muitas publicações sobre o assunto, que a técnica mais adotada quanto aos procedimentos técnicos foi a pesquisa descritiva, os artigos foram publicados por mais de dois autores, o autor mais influente é Robert S. Kaplan, a obra mais referenciada foi “Custo e desempenho: Administre seus custos para ser mais competitivo”. A relevância desta pesquisa está em contribuições futuras com a ampliação de investigações acerca da temática em questão.
