ResumoEste estudo teve como objetivo identificar variáveis apresentadas na literatura que afetam o desempenho acadêmico no ensino superior na área de Negócios. Para tanto, foi realizada uma revisão de artigos relativos ao tema. Inicialmente, foram levantados 228 artigos, dos quais, 52 foram selecionados. As variáveis encontradas no estudo foram separadas em três grupos: relacionadas ao corpo docente, relacionadas às instituições de ensino e relacionadas ao corpo discente. Como principais resultados, pode-se constatar que as variáveis relacionadas ao corpo discente são as frequentes e que mais fortemente explicam o desempenho acadêmico (status socioeconômico, absenteísmo, desempenho escolar anterior, conhecimento prévio do conteúdo, área de especialização do discente, horas de estudo, motivação e tipo de aprendizagem). Em segundo lugar, estão as variáveis relacionadas ao corpo docente (estratégia ou método de ensino, experiência profissional do docente e credenciais profissionais).Palavras-chave: Desempenho Acadêmico.
