Objetivo: Revisar e apresentar conceitos básicos da rabdomiólise, aprofundando-se no manejo e conduta no setor de emergência. Revisão bibliográfica: A rabdomiólise é definida pela quebra do tecido muscular com liberação de enzimas intracelular na circulação sanguínea. Drogas que afetam os músculos como estatina, infecções, desequilíbrios eletrolíticos e trauma podem propiciar rabdomiólise. O quadro clínico varia conforme a gravidade do caso, grau e extensão da lesão muscular. A doença tem como principais sintomas: mialgia, miastenia, colúria e elevação de Creatina Quinase (CK). Como manejo inicial, faz-se necessário realizar uma reposição volêmica agressiva. A hipercalemia é a anormalidade eletrolítica com maior risco de vida nessa patologia, sua correção pode ser realizada pelo uso de insulina e glicose intravenosa. Caso o paciente desenvolva insuficiência renal aguda, devem ser tomadas medidas para controlar a sobrecarga. Por isso, deve-se considerar terapia de substituição renal. Considerações finais: A rabdomiólise caracteriza-se pela destruição muscular com liberação dos seus componentes na corrente sanguínea. Nesse sentido, torna-se necessário realizar a conduta adequada e precoce durante o manejo dessa doença na emergência, a fim de diminuir as chances de complicações graves e morte do paciente.
