Objective: To analyze the impact of the therapeutic workshops and the social changes in people with mental disorders from the point of view of the experience of the workers of a Center of Psychosocial Attention. Method: A descriptive, qualitative study developed with seven professionals from a Psychosocial Care Center in a city in the Northeast of Brazil. The data production was performed through a semi-structured interview and analyzed by the Descending Hierarchical Classification, after processing in the IRaMuTeQ software. Results: Were presented in two segments: the first one portrays the reality of the work of the professionals in the Center for Psychosocial Care, while segment two emphasizes the professionals' perception about the therapeutic workshops as a tool for social reintegration. Conclusion: The use of therapeutic workshops contributes to the effectuation of social change on mental illness and social inclusion of people with psychic disorders in the daily family, in the community, encouraged by the multidisciplinary approach.
RESUMOObjetivo: analisar o cuidado prestado pelos cuidadores aos idosos acometidos com Alzheimer em Instituição de Longa Permanência. Método: estudo qualitativo, descritivo-exploratório, por meio de entrevistas, com 14 profissionais de uma Instituição de Longa Permanência, processadas no software IraMuTeQ. Resultados: foram obtidas cinco classes semânticas, a saber: Classe 2 - A rotina dos cuidados prestados pelos profissionais da instituição; Classe 1 - A importância dos profissionais nos cuidados ao idoso com sinais das consequências do Alzheimer: dificuldades de concentração e memória; Classe 4 - Lapsos de memória dos idosos com a doença de Alzheimer; Classe 5 - O papel do profissional no cuidado integralizado ao idoso com Alzheimer; Classe 3 - Ausência da família nos cuidados ao Idoso com Alzheimer. Conclusão: o cuidado se encontra satisfatório, porém foram observados pontos negativos como ociosidade dos idosos, ausência familiar e déficit de conhecimento teórico-científico por parte de alguns profissionais. Conclusión: la atención es bastante buena, pero se han observado puntos negativos como la ociosidad de los ancianos, la familia y la ausencia de déficit de conocimiento científico teórico por parte de algunos profesionales. Background: The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has caused negative impacts on the physical and mental health of the population worldwide. Pregnant and puerperal women comprise the population most vulnerable to impacts on mental health. Objective: To synthesize the scientific evidence on the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of pregnant and puerperal women. Methods: systematic review focused on answering the question what is the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of pregnan and puerperal women?. In order to perform the search of the studies, we used combinations among the keywords: pregnan*, puerper*, prenatal, perinatal, mental health, COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2. In total, we identified 150 studies from the databases and 14 studies were selected from preprints. We identified another four studies through manual search, totaling 18 studies to compose the final sample of this review. Results: Anxiety and depression were the main outcomes found, being shown in 15 and 11 studies, respectively. Other outcomes found in more than one study were: concerns related to several factors, loneliness, stress and fear. Conclusion: From this review, we can infer that the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the mental health of pregnant and puerperal women, with depression and anxiety being the most frequent changes. The social detachment, the media pressure, the fear of contracting the infection, the economic scenario and the rupture of family rituals are shown as intensifying factors of psychological distress, thus causing changes in the mental health of these women.
