RESUMO. Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo identificar, explicitar e analisar as concepções de desenvolvimento/aprendizagem presentes no trabalho de profissionais de uma escola pública, visando à construção de conhecimentos que permitissem transformar a prática educativa. Elaboraram-se roteiros de entrevista para os professores, o coordenador pedagógico e a direção, um roteiro de observação de aulas e um para consulta ao projeto pedagógico. Os dados foram organizados em categorias que relacionam as concepções de desenvolvimento/aprendizagem apresentadas pela Teoria Histórico-Cultural àquelas encontradas nos dados obtidos na escola. Verificou-se que o trabalho desses profissionais não é fundamentado em uma única concepção de desenvolvimento/aprendizagem, o que pôde ser demonstrado pela coexistência de várias teorias, entre as quais se destacam a de Piaget e a de Vigotski. Constatou-se que as abordagens dos profissionais da escola são permeadas pela cotidianidade, discutindo-se, a partir da Teoria do Cotidiano, de Heller, a invasão de um espaço de produção do conhecimento por ações/reflexões cotidianas.Palavras-chave: concepções de desenvolvimento e de aprendizagem, trabalho do professor, Teoria do Cotidiano. DEVELOPMENT AND LEARNING CONCEPTIONS REGARDING TEACHER'S WORKABSTRACT. The purpose of this research was to identify, explain and analyze, the conceptions of development and learning that are present in the work of professionals working for a public school, aiming at constructing a type of knowledge able to transform educational practices. Besides a class observation itinerary and norms to consult the pedagogical project, norms in relation to interviews -to be applied to the teachers, the pedagogical coordinator and the principal -were elaborated. The data were organized into categories, connecting the development and learning conceptions -presented by the Historical-culturaltheory -to the theories, emerging in the data obtained in the school analyzed. It was verified that the work of those professionals is based, not only in one development or learning theoretical conception. In fact, it was observed the coexistence of many theories, such as the ones conceived by Piaget and Vigotski. The results show that, the school professional approaches are permeated by everyday life, and the invasion of a space for knowledge production is discussed based on actions and reflections related to everyday life.Key words: Development and learning conceptions, teacher's work, everyday-life theory.
