Este trabalho objetivou observar a frequência das atividades comportamentais (efeito macho interespécie) do carneiro e do bode, diante de cabras nos turnos da manhã e tarde. Foram utilizadas 21 cabras nulíparas mestiças (Anglonubiana x Saanen), um reprodutor ovino nativo deslanado branco (raça Morada Nova), e um reprodutor caprino (Saanen). A temperatura do ar e a umidade relativa do ar foram avaliadas para o cálculo do Índice de Temperatura e Umidade em cada mês estudado. Os dados foram submetidos à análise de variância a 5% de probabilidade. A variável – cheirou a vulva (CV) – foi a mais expressa durante a avaliação nas duas espécies, demonstrando a inspeção do macho na detecção da fêmea em estro. No turno da manhã, o carneiro foi superior ao bode (p < 0,05) na inspeção da fêmea em estro e, no turno da tarde, ocorreu o contrário. O carneiro independente do turno demonstrou melhor desempenho sexual com maior número de atividades comportamentais para a indução e sincronização do estro em cabras leiteiras, quando comparado com o bode.
